Can anyone explain to me exactly how this increases SEO? I am sure it works well
For the author with all of the link weight to his sites but how does this really help anyone else?

I may be missing something here but I just cannot find anything with in this that will signfically
boost search indexing.. Maybe on a rare occasion someone may add a backslash but beyond that I just do not understand.

I would be greatly appreciative if someone could explain this..

Thanks

Yeah I think i said this earlier. It mainly helps the author's SEO. Just use the automatic thread tagger. People see SEO and they jump to install it.

The fonts look good on my site, I just did the Hippy fix and it seems to work with all misalignement issues on most, if not all, mods :D

cdoyle 11-07-2010 12:50 PM

could you post a screenshot of how it looks on your forumhome?

Here is mine, I've fixed the margin issue, but the fonts just look bad.

I just followed Hippy's instruction on other mods that had margin problems, I believe you have to change to parts in the xml file, I'm gonna check to see if I find it, but here is an image of the way Fuzzy SEO looks in my WGO. :D

I think the instructions in this post, for a different mod should fix the margin issue, I couldn't find the exact Hippy quote, but I believe it's the same idea, just change the parts that don't fit with the correct SEO mod parts.

dannycutts 11-07-2010 04:10 PM

yeah I followed the instructions in the link but they were already done... so think Iw ill just play with the .xml

Thanks

dannycutts 11-07-2010 04:55 PM

Yes, in the admin cp options, if I have the chance I'll pass you along the exact part that I changed, so that you can compare it with your xml file :D

dannycutts 11-07-2010 06:11 PM

That would be awesome if you could....

You can email it if you dont wanna post on here :-)

Thanks again

Alright, here are the changes I made to the xml file to fix the margin problems, I hope they can be of help to someone :)

Look for this in your xml file:

Code:

<div id="wgo_events" class="wgo_subblock">
            <h3><img src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/forum_stats.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase seofq_title}" />{vb:rawphrase seofq_title}</h3>
            <div class="inner">

Change to this:

Code:

<div id="wgo_events" class="wgo_subblock section">
            <h3 class="blocksubhead"><img src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_misc}/forum_stats.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase seofq_title}" />{vb:rawphrase seofq_title}</h3>
            <div class="inner">

Thanx, mate :D That did it for forums.php. Any chance you could provide the changes for the threads-part in the xml
PHP Code:

<h4 class="threadinfohead"><span class="optiontitle">{vb:rawphrase seofq_title}</span></h4>
    <
div id="seof_queries_list" class="thread_info_block">
        <
div class="inner_block">
            <
div id='seofq_list_cell'>
            <
vb:each from="keywords" key="wordid" value="word">
                {
vb:var tag_fix}{vb:var word.tag}>{vb:var word.term_value}</{vb:var word.tag}><vb:if condition="$wordid != $tagscount">,&nbsp;</vb:if>
            </
vb:each>
            </
div>
        </
div>
    </
div

?

I actually didn't make any changes on the threads part of the xml, I think it looks good as is, all I changed was the font sizes to make them look better for my forum. :D

final kaoss 11-09-2010 10:48 PM

I've noticed that it can't add search results from google cache queries, even if I opt to go straight to the page, the addon doesn't recognize this.

Code:

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/ms9cEsxHwiczB1HVSEnhzRQ/80.jpg&imgrefurl=http://vgchat.info/forum/threads/38470-DAFFY-DUCK-MARVIN-MISSION-SNES-Super-Nintendo-Game!&usg=__Wc-HG_1T5x6PmTyYbfwPc6bNcWI=&h=69&w=80&sz=3&hl=en&start=39&zoom=0&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=88ckkZD17R2rvM:&tbnh=64&tbnw=74&prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddaffy%2Bduck%2Bthe%2Bmarvin%2Bmissions%2Bsnes%26start%3D20%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1T4ADSA_enUS349US349%26ndsp%3D20%26tbs%3Disch:1
Also is there a way to remove this box from the home page? I don't mind it on forums & in threads.

cdoyle 11-13-2010 03:31 PM

has anyone seen any type of increase in traffic from this one? Still trying to determine if this helps forum users at all, or only just the creator of the hack with all the backlinks.

dannycutts 11-13-2010 06:48 PM

not sure really... but the creator had promised a fix for the alignment but has not yet responded so between us we fixed it.

I dont see teh backlinks a problem is you see what I mean ;-)

dany_danay 11-13-2010 09:08 PM

Really work? Improve SEO??

dannycutts 11-13-2010 09:13 PM

The way I see it is that its creating content that is keyword rich to what is being searched for right... Its not irrelevent content because otherwise it would not show up in the search.

I dont think it harms your rankings...

Danny

revin84 11-15-2010 12:26 PM

Hi, thanks for this plugin

as I can to detect the words ahcer Ñ? My forum is in Spain and I get errors such as: nia ± os when it should be the word "children" or in spanish "niños"

OldSchoolDSL 11-23-2010 05:08 PM

I seem to have gotten something odd in mine...

PHP Code:

Visitors found this page by searching for:
сяб?&#8364;о?žс?‚ва зна?‘мс?‚ва ?„о?€?ƒм

salvador21 11-23-2010 05:15 PM

I'm getting odd stuff too, not quite as odd.

CraiovaOnLine 11-27-2010 03:19 PM

lubbie 11-28-2010 05:55 PM

Uninstalled. The display since 4.0.8 isnt ok anymore

final kaoss 12-03-2010 10:06 PM

So this mod fails after vb 4.0.8 + installations?

Anyone else having problems with the display with versions 4.0.8 & up?

Juggernaut 12-04-2010 01:19 AM

The fix for the display is posted earlier in the thread, about 2 pages back.

its in my next release, but there are a few other things in it as well which is slowing it down, hopefully will have it up by wednesday.

final kaoss 12-06-2010 04:34 PM

Unfortunately, that fix didn't resolve the issue on vbulletin 4.1.0 Patch Level 2

OldSchoolDSL 12-08-2010 02:54 PM

Disabled

Not un-installed (yet). Kind of hoping the developer will work things out.

onehost 12-10-2010 06:23 AM

You mean the op is back? was going to buy some of your mods, but I noticed you vanished, and your complaints adding up, smart not to order...hope you are working things out....

cdoyle 12-10-2010 12:12 PM

I think I'm going to just disable this one. The more I think about it, wouldn't this hurt your rankings?

Wouldn't this be the same as keyword stuffing on a page, which Google looks for and uses against you?

final kaoss 12-10-2010 01:08 PM

I went from 300 uniques/day to over 800 after installing this so no, it's not keyword stuffing and google won't use this against you.
