has potential, but it's just not ready for prime yet it looks like. Demo site doesn't work with Firefox, (nothing happens and the FB image doesnt even show.)
I went to Chrome to make sure I wasn't going insane, and the buttons showed but failed when I tired to use it.
I am excited though.

ok , my cuestion is , How to Des-Associate an existing member with a Facebook Acount Asociated to his nik name??

The company that owns vB has this under development as vB Nexus. Once it works well, it will eventually be integrated.

This is from what I recall from reading. It might even be in this thread.

Actually the only connection with IB (owners of VB) is that the creator of this mod owns a forum that was purchased by IB. They have no involvement, or from what I have seen even interest, in vbnexus.

I cant wait to see this mod for vb4. Would put the icing on the cake ;)

I don't understand what you mean about deleting the entry in the nonvbuser table. I assume that there is a table and in that table and I look for the user, and delete the associated name?

I have some friends that seem to have gotten their accounts mixed up.

All of you who installed vbnexus, can you post some statistics on the increase of membership? maybe a percentage will also do if you dont want to give out numbers.

Does vbnexus give you access to info like email address of the user or is it optional. Any other info we get or can get?

We've gotten about 300+ members that use this connection since I installed it. I thought fbconnect was going to be more, but it turns out that gmail is much more popular connection.

Is there any way to only use the Google interface with this?

absolutely not.

fb has a proxy email address, so they get alerts like normal. as far as my testing goes, gmail registrations do not get any emails, BUT I can see all the people who use gmail in the gmail friend finder.

I've read through pages of this thread and found one other person with this problem, she/he was told to check their application settings. I did, and here is what I have:

I have my API key set correctly in the admin CP, I double checked that. I imported the product, uploaded files correctly, etc. I have never used another Facebook Connect application on this site. I'm guessing I have some Facebook side application setting wrong but can't figure out what it is.

Does anyone know if this will be upgraded to VB4?

First, the app seems to have installed properly and I using 1.3 which Calash has provided. However, when the facebook window pops up and I try to "connect" an account, the page in the popup just reloads.

I am sure that the facebook app itself is not setup properly.

Now the instructions say:
Set Callback URL to vBulletin Forum URL (http://www.mysite.com/forums/)

But there is 3-4 callback URLs:
Post-Authorize Callback URL
Post-Remove Callback URL
Information Update Callback URL
Canvas Callback URL
... and a couple others.

I filled out the Canvas Callback URL. Is that the one I was supposed to fill out? Also, if someone can post HOW they filled out the app settings that would probably be helpful. I am not 100% sure how some of those fields in the app settings interact with the actual apps.

Okay well I have answered my own questions.

I had a problem with the NAVBAR stuff showing on vbAdvanced pages but you can add the variable vbnexus_login_output to the Portal Output Global Variables list in the main options for vbAdvanced settings. This is for the Calash version.

Also, the Facebook PHP API that comes with the zip file is out dated.

You can download the latest version and upload it to the facebook directory via FTP under the vbnexus folder.

Finally, the xd_receiver.htm file is also outdated. If you edit the file you will see:

this is what i did to fix my registration 500 error:

i have 3.8.2 http://www.toyotabrakerecall.org

uninstall YAFB plugin.
download YAFB from the 3.8 mod forum, not the 4.0 forum.
extract and re upload the files
re import the xml plugin file, check x on overwrite.

seems to work now

After Install and login over FB I cant post to FB .
No New Thread, No New reply nothing shows up on my FB Account

ATTENTION:

Facebook has deprecated the NOTIFICATIONS functionality in their API; this means that NOTIFICATIONS will no longer work and will produce PHP ERRORS on your forum.

EASY FIX:

Go to ADMINCP - VBOPTIONS - VBNEXUS CONFIGURATION

Set all 3 NOTIFICATION options to NO; these are the last 3 nexus options.
