EXCELLENT news, good to see this continue to progress.

Could we make sure this works in the header via a variable for those who have some nav elements up there? I'd love to stick it in the header on my site.

Thank you, Sniper!

Merriweather 03-09-2009 03:29 AM

Perhaps you missed my post, Sniper? There is a JS error on pages without the mood selector because the JS gets called whether the selector is there or not.... how to fix?

illkeyone 03-14-2009 06:30 PM

Sniper, man you rock, I wish I could help you with anything :(

Now I just sit here and wait for the update :(

Have a nice day man.
:)

Hello sniper,

will this be an update to the 3.7 line? Or will the next release be a brand new release for the 3.8 line? I read somewhere that you were writing one up for 3.8.

Regardless of that, Nice work I don't think there's any other script on here that has demanded my time (in a good way) so I'll end by saying keep up the good work and to suggest could you take into account larger moods and resolving the alignment issues in using larger mood icons in your next update/release.

Thanks again sniper. :up:

Ryuk 03-15-2009 12:05 AM

yay for the updateeeee =D!!!!!

Sniper...

I'd like to see an update for this, as well. I'm currently running vb 3.8.1 PL1, with the latest version of vbAdvanced...so, I'd love to see it work for the CMS.

Shelley's Mood Manager icons would be great for this mod...if you could get her permission to use them.

I'm on pins and needles here...

I don't think anyone knows what you are talking about. There is the product xml, readme.txt, screenshot.jpg and the vmoods folder thats it in the folder...no .svn...

paul41598 03-31-2009 12:33 PM

any updates for 3.8?

Ryuk 04-01-2009 01:31 AM

same as above =p

Saviour 04-02-2009 10:13 PM

If anyone is having a problem getting this to work with vBAdvanced on a board running 3.8.2, the following post: #197 and using the full path to where the images and .js file is stored (within the mod's settings) has solved the issue.

Thanks, gpc10347...much appreciated.

paul41598 04-03-2009 01:13 AM

seems to be working on 3.8.1 n/m

fanyap 04-04-2009 01:07 PM

Not working for me on 3.8 and I did a fresh install of this. Have installed it other times as well with no problems on 3.7 but no luck right now......

powerful_rogue 04-04-2009 01:32 PM

Working fine for me on 3.8.2

Ryuk 04-05-2009 03:08 AM

Im just going to wait for the updated version =)

djbaxter 04-06-2009 04:23 PM

Viewing the Who's Online page, members who haven't selected a mood set appear as

Code:

Unknown Location
/vmoods/images/none.gif

How do I fix this?

-=Sniper=- 04-06-2009 07:53 PM

I am having a problem in 3.8.2. U just upgraded today. Now, the moods display, but users cannot select them. When they click on them, nothing happens.

Ideas?

Note: I am running v1.1.3 of this mod.

Stanthrax 04-23-2009 10:21 PM

-=Sniper=- I noticed that you have two versions of the mood manager available. Which of these two mods would you recommend for VB 3.81 vMoods aka Mood Manager or Mood Manager - with AJAX mood update. Thanks for your input.

They are both ajax. Use the 3.7 mood manager, I'm running 3.81 and have adapted, tinkered with it to work on all 3.8 versions. Ensure you glance throughout the thread if you find you can't set this up the solution to any problem you'll have will have been posted within this thread.

PGAmerica 04-24-2009 06:03 PM

Well, since I got no support here, I uninstalled this mod and installed one that actually works and gets support.

Stanthrax 04-24-2009 06:25 PM

Thanx for the input Shelly. I installed VMoods from this thread on a demo board and it seems to work perfectly. I'll most likely install it on my live site either tonight or tomorow morning. :up:

:confused:

Why would you recommend the 3.7 version since this one works for 3.8x?

Well...considering that this one is the 3.7 one and the other one is the 3.6 one and they were asking which one to use. Since they will both work on 3.8 she was saying to use this one instead of the 3.6 one. Not really hard to get..no?

djbaxter 04-24-2009 10:19 PM

D'oh!

Not hard for you, maybe. You've obviously had more coffee today then I have. :o

Stanthrax 04-25-2009 07:32 PM

I installed the vMoods and it works great! Good job sniper.

Saviour 04-29-2009 02:27 PM

I currently use this mod...

I'm running vB 3.8.2 and have a question regarding this mod and Logician's Web Templates: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=186644

The issue is that the dropdown doesn't work on those pages created with Logician's mod...and I was wondering if anyone has a fix or can point me in the right direction.

I've also posted in Logician's mod support, as well.

Ryuk 05-16-2009 07:12 PM

this modification should be considered "Dead"

djbaxter 05-16-2009 07:30 PM

It's working for many people. I get your frustration but I think it's probably unreasonable to expect any specific add-on to work with every possible combination of add-ons and styles available here and on other forums.

Saviour 05-16-2009 07:42 PM

Sorry...

Should have updated my last post. The issue with Logician's Web Templates has been resolved.

See this post: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=427

Also...

I do not agree that this mod is 'Dead'. It works fine with 3.8.2 and I also hear the developer of this mod is still working on updating it.

blaize 06-05-2009 07:39 AM

I had to work with some styles that had the pmwarning in the header rather than in the navbar so what I did was add this plugin code to the product-vmoods.xml underneath the existing navbar code and reinstall.

Use at your own risk, no support offered as this is a temporary fix until Sniper updates.

Code:

<plugin active="1" executionorder="5">

show the mood menu in all pages header

                        <hookname>global_start</hookname>
                        <phpcode>if ($vbulletin->options['vmoods_active'] && $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'] && !in_array($vbulletin->userinfo['usergroupid'], explode(",", $vbulletin->options['vmoods_usergroups'])))
        {
                if ($vbulletin->options['vmoods_auto_navbar'])
            {
                    $search_html = '".(($show[\'pmwarning\'])';
                    $vbulletin->templatecache['header'] = str_replace($search_html, fetch_template('vmoods') . $search_html, $vbulletin->templatecache['header']);
            }
            else
            {
                    eval('$vmoods = "' . fetch_template('vmoods') . '";');
            }
        }</phpcode>
                </plugin>

Take note that it uses the same settings as the autonavbar and for it to work you'd need to have 'Auto place the menu under the PM area' to on in VB Options.

I also removed the phrase My Mood because in the style I was experimenting with it had 'My Mood' too far over to the left away from the mood images.

Hope that helps someone.
