The only glitch for me is the inability to delete the content without setting the view list to 0.
A long list will show in the panel.

Upload usc_cp.php from the Zip file to your main forum menu. I skipped this, too, by accident.

zip file appears to be corrupt, unable to unzip after downloading.

I know this is pitiful, however I have had the side columns added to my website but I am not sure where to add the text that I want to show on the column? Im in the admincp in vb options and have gone to the utlimate side columns area! I am in the side columns options and see where to add the text but where inside this area do I add ?

Do I go into the <br/> area and add the text? I have added the title to the title area and nothing is showing?

Hello, I have problems with the actual posts..
If someone posts an image that causes side scrolling usually its just that post that causes it, and all subsequent posts are the correct size with no side scrolling.

With the sidebar installed, the whole thread sidescrolls and not just the thread containing the image...... Ive attached some screen shots, and wonder how I can fix this...

Also this mod slows down my board, I was wondering why..... and what I could do about that... pages open much much slower with the side columns hack active...

I also have a fatal server error in my error log as such:

I just got my vbulletin and I installed the USC 2.0 following the instructions and nothing happens, I don't even find the function in my vbulletin options. Could you please help me?

I installed the 2.2 USC and is not working at all, which folder am I suppose to upload considering I didn't use any previous versions, but now I decide to add some columns?

you didnt upload the bitfield_usc.xml file to the includes/xml dir

i did the same mistake there too
anyhow, this hack doent work with 3.7.2 pl2
i installed all as i was supposed to but it doesnt work.

i saw that at the generated page there is no $usc_left and $usc_right as it should be
its just missing.

has anyone installed it to the 3.7.2 pl2?

Check the usergroup permissions:
ADMINCP > Usergroups > Usergroup manager > Ultimate Side Columns Permissions

that was my problem
3 days now im searching all admincp, trying to edit manualy the templates and lots of other things but i missed this......

Well, I would definitely be using this modification - but it damaged my Photopost Classifieds installation.. If that issue ever gets figured out, I'll be back...

Just a guess here, since you didn't specify what happened to the Photopost installation, but try having the columns start in a different place. I had a skin go out of whack until I had the column start below the notices.

I am using the add on at http://www.winvistaclub.com/forum now the problem is sidebar works fine apart from Forum Home :( there it is shown below the category, messing up the display :(

Has anyone figured out a way/plugin/block to display latest vBlog posts in the side column? vBlog entries are damn near invisible and this would seem to be the ideal way to address that? I now there's a way to do it in CMPS, but has anyone translated that into USC?

I got a problem - I have Logicain web templates installed and can not get USC to display on them.

If I check all pages in AdminCP>USC options, it will display on the Logicain pages; BUT I have vBadvanced as the home page and I do not want USC to display there, so can not check all pages ...

...is there a way around this?

We faced something similar with trying to get USC showing up on Photoplog, but not wanting it on some other pages.

What I did was open the plugin "Ultimate Side Columns Processing" on the global_start hook location (ACP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager) and add a conditional to show the right column (we're just using the right column, not the left) like so:
So you'd need to find the THIS_SCRIPT value for Logicain Templates and then put a conditional in to that plugin to tell it to show whichever column you want for that THIS_SCRIPT value. Then you don't need to select "All Pages" and you can still pick and choose the other areas where you want it show up.

I went to the vB plugin product manager, then to USC, and all the cool admin control panel stuff shown in Kerry-Anne's screen shots are not there, so where are they hiding?

never mind. i finally found it.

It will not work on my profile.php pages at all, http://dixietalk.com/forum/profile.php

its excluded from profile.php pages due to a fatal error that the developer hasnt fixed properly yet. temp fix was to exclude the columns from profile.php. same problem occurs with misc.php.
