Not sure why it is there. I'd say you have an add-on which adds those headers in for each Forum category - it's not this style doing it...

edytwinky 01-13-2009 01:16 PM

Any chance of making this compatible with vBulletin Blog?

abrecher 01-13-2009 09:00 PM

Great style! I have VB 3.8 installed now and I have two questions:

1) I have a custom home page. How do I default mobile user to automatically go to domain.com/forum.php when they go to domain.com please ?

2) I also have VB Blogs installed. It adds 6 blog links at the top of each page. How do I remove them please ?

Sounds like you don't have the style as user selectable - you need to ensure that in Style Manager it has a tick in teh check box next to its name.

Great, thanks, this works now (http://mobileradiostations.mobi)

I am very happy

Thank you for everything

Kind Regards,

Thanks for that great mod... it ROCKS :D

but I Do have a Problem :/
the Redirection of the hack is not

1 last Question Pals...

is there a code that makes me Able to disable hacks on this style ???

Thanks allot :D

dartho 01-16-2009 08:50 PM

No, I haven;t yet found a way to disable plugins within this style...

Hornstar 01-16-2009 11:03 PM

Just wondering when you do get to update this skin for 3.8 ^^ if you can add an option to show the last post under each forum, and have it displayed nicely. That would really help in knowing when I have new posts instead of having to open up each thread in a mobile takes quite some time.

edytwinky 01-17-2009 04:03 PM

Great work Dartho. By far my favorite members favorite style.

Any intention on releasing an admin style or admin link to it?

Hornstar 01-17-2009 09:26 PM

yeah great idea. I recently noticed there is not a single admincp mobile friendly style.

yingzhou 01-21-2009 02:52 PM

can someone add a button to return to default style?

dartho 01-21-2009 08:59 PM

Install tis add-on (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=182692) in addition to this style and you will have vB options to have a link to default style

Kihon Kata 01-24-2009 04:34 AM

3.8 update needed please,

Thanks

tekguru 01-25-2009 09:32 AM

Seconded are we going to get a 3.8.0 version?

dbirosel 01-25-2009 10:36 PM

Has anyone tested if this works for 3.8?

dartho 01-25-2009 11:44 PM

The Forums aspect of this style all still work well under 3.8 (as far as I know) - I think private messaging is OK too - social groups is a bit broken though with new templates...

tekguru 01-26-2009 05:16 AM

My guys are reporting that the link back to the main forum index has now vanished. Plus the expansion Mod which adds the added functionality is no longer shows any options under 3.8.0

dartho 01-26-2009 08:35 AM

just checked - both are working on my site + my test site - only Social groups not displaying 'mobile friendly'

MissKalunji 01-26-2009 02:18 PM

is there any way to add "approving" posts in the template? some section i require to moderate thread before...

Weird not working on my 3.8.0 system :(

Anyone else seeing the problem with the product?

Excellent. Sounds like there's a couple issues with it on 3.8.0 so I'm going to keep watching this thread but this is exactly what I've been waiting for.

You rock - I can't wait!! :)

edit Okay I couldn't wait. I installed it on 3.8.1 and this looks AWESOME. Checking it out on my HTC Touch Diamond using IEMobile, Skyfire and Opera Mobile - resolves in mobile style perfectly in each.

Making posts, moderating threads, emotes show up and the pages load damn fast.

I'm sure there'll be minor quirks with some of the hacks we've installed but you've nailed the key there here - mobile access and functionality.

You rock.

ajcbarrett 01-31-2009 08:37 PM

When installed with blogs (on 3.8.1) how can you remove the blog links here:

dartho 01-31-2009 09:42 PM

Those blogs links wouldn;t be caused bythis style - checking your site now, you seem to have fixed it already anyway...

Bounce 02-01-2009 05:43 PM

I too would love a 3.8.1 version..

It still works but get ['mo37_default_link'] on forumhome

dartho 02-02-2009 03:06 AM

Check the 'Mobile Style Options' and see if you have chosen to add a link to the default style but failed to give it a name (Default Style Text??

When you click on the "User Cp" link it all works great but reading private messages is difficult as the screen is "halfed"

Is there any way I can get it to show the PMessages on a seperate page..

Sorry for the explaination,would do a screenie but its hard to do from a phone LOL

REIGN SS 02-02-2009 07:55 PM

I'm not sure if this has been covered but how would go about modifying the "Posted via Mobile Device" text?

In the Mobile Style Options

vBOptions > Mobile Style Options > Mobile post text

wow, I fail hardcore... I can't believe I missed that :(

Thank you

REIGN SS 02-02-2009 08:39 PM

ok... I'd like to modify it so it appears like this:

Quote:

__________
Posted via Mobile Device
But I cannot get the line break between the __________ and Posted via Mobile Device to work :(

dartho 02-02-2009 11:55 PM

I'm not in a position to test this at the moment, but you could try <br /> for the line break, or \n ?

I couldn't quiet figure out where to put it so I made a BBCode for <br> and <hr> and just used that in the options.

It got me the results I wanted:

Andyrew 02-07-2009 10:12 AM

When i click on a thread it takes me to the last post, should it not take me to the first post. :confused:

dartho 02-07-2009 11:05 AM

it *should* take you to the newest read post, which would be the last one if you've already read the thread, or the first one if not...

Sym0n 02-08-2009 01:31 PM

+1 for the 3.8.x update. But I've got this going on 3.8.1 and so far so good. :)

Few things I would ask for though in the update, if you do one that is, are:
  • Line breaks between post replies
  • Text wrapping on input fields
  • Moderator tools access
  • Direct link to PMs (showing how many new texts)
  • Link to AdminCP (if conditional)
  • AdminCP style ;)
  • New thread/post flag (most important out of the lot IMHO)
If you could add them in I'd be one happy camper, but please don't see this post as a complaint.

Thanks for your work,

Sy

cbehan 02-13-2009 02:39 AM

great stuff. I eagerly await a 3.8 version...and also second the requests from Sym0n...

Alfa1 02-14-2009 01:43 AM

A 3.8 version would be appreciated. Please include blog and groups.

tgmorris 02-16-2009 12:00 AM

Installed and working for the most part.

I did modify the threadbit template to indicate new posts exist by having the thread title in bold and old threads in regular text.

My forum supports Linear/Hybrid/Threaded modes and it does seem that things don't display properly if the user doesn't default to Linear mode if the thread has non-linear discussion. If that's the case is there a way to force the user to Linear mode when using the mobile style so all the conversation is visible?

Biker_GA 02-17-2009 01:03 PM

My users are singing praises since I installed it this morning. Just one little request. It would be nice to include an option to redirect mobile devices directly to the forums. Our primary page is a portal page and doesn't render very well with some mobile devices. It would be a god send if the options for the style allowed for a redirect directly to the forum pages.

Great product! Thanks!

dartho 02-17-2009 10:43 PM

To disable (in a manner of speaking) vBadvanced, edit the adv_portal template in the mobile style and replace it's contents with the following or something similar:

Code:

$stylevar[htmldoctype]
<html>
<head>
$headinclude
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="2; URL=forum.php" />
</head>
<body>

$header

$navbar
<div align="center"><a href="forum.php">Portal Disabled in Mobile View - Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you.</a></div>

$footer

</body>
</html>

Biker_GA 02-18-2009 10:18 AM

Perfect! Thanks!
