Why do I have the word TAB over recent updated albums?
http://www.tarheelminis.org/album.php

inparadise 01-25-2009 06:57 PM

its because the pictures it looks for is not their...
your theme looks for "thmmc/misc/album_folder_bg.png"

Do like I did, I copied the images from the original images map to the map misc in my new theme..
now it works ..

;)

voglermc 01-25-2009 07:34 PM

Thanks!

How can i move this to be under the COmmunity Navbar link?

mmoore5553 01-30-2009 06:57 AM

i know this might not be the right place but i was wondering how someone would put a rating system on just the albums .... i didnt know where to post this but figured this might be appropriate since i am using your mod ....

Lynne 01-31-2009 03:31 PM

Works fine on my 3.8 board. Thank you!

I know it works on others' sites, but not mine, not even in a default style.

The box shows up but searching for anything just reloads the same page.

Same here, on 3.8.1.
Except that, works fine ! :)

Just 2 little things would make me dump PhotoPost for this in a heartbeat:

* Searchable by username
* Ability to hide profile picture albums (the ones that contain backgrounds and such for customized profiles) from view, even for admins (I don't really wanna look at people's profile customization albums)

ndahiya 02-02-2009 05:32 PM

One more feature would be great... Put the link to all albums inside Community instead of the top navbar...

DanaRVT 02-02-2009 05:49 PM

^^That is easily done with a template edit :)

Lynne 02-02-2009 07:58 PM

^^ Yep, that's exactly where I put the link.

Is there a CMPS file for ALL_Albums Module?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello;

I am not sure if this is the proper location to post? As I also put it in a Vbulletin.org forum location. Sorry my mistake for a double post.

I installed this hack on my vbulletin navbar. It works with forum.php and vbadvanced cmps portal pages selected. But when I went to vba dynamics program, all_albums.php would not load up? (I assume it is a "page", but technically it is not actually a cmps page. It is the program opening location.) It wants to act like the file "any forum file" should be inside the dynamics directory. Of course it is not.

The all_albums.php is installed in forum root and located on original forum navbar.

So it sends me to a blank browser page when I have opened up the links or dynamics program and then click on the navbar location.. I have 3.8 and cmps 3.1 and most recent dynamics also. I suspect that the reason that I am not getting various php files to load up is because the dynamics or links main page is not wrapped with a cmps page. But since I am new to this, that is my guess?

A little help would be terrific. I have asked the same question at vBAdvanced.com as well.

I have put the all_albums.php inside of the cmps globals variables and also listed it in header, footer and navbar replacement sections of cmps. If I have done this, then should the file load up correctly when I try to redirect from the dynamics program location via the navbar.

(UPDATE: I am guessing that since I have not actually made a cmps "page" for a dynamics instance that all I am seeing is the dynamics program since no relationship has been assigned with cmps. And as a result it will not know to look for all_albums in the correct location. Am I right about this?)

I am perplexed. Is there an All_albums file for CMPS?

UPDATE: Not an ALL_albums problem: Actually I am having this problem from within a dynamics main page going to any forum.php file other than the forum and cmps portal page.

But would still like to know is there a need for a cmps type file for all_albums?

Thanks for your help?

Can we please get a way to sort by last comment made? Or better still, move the pic that has received the last comment at the top automatically.

Have we found a way to do these?

JamesAB 03-07-2009 04:23 AM

Thanks for this mod Abe1. It works great.

My only small request is that it would hide empty albums with "0" pictures.
Or maybe that could be an option setting in the future?

Thanks,
James

That's a good idea James.

I have loads of those where they just seem to want to get their name or description in the list of albums or links to other places.

RedBaron9112 03-08-2009 06:39 PM

If anyone knows if this hack will work with version 3.7.0, I'd appreciate finding out. A direct e-mail response would be OK, as well.

Thanks,
Baron

Hi! Some of my users have several albums with only one picture in it. Is it possible to limit the number of albums per user to one only? If so, how?

SGL.

SouthpawK 03-24-2009 10:30 PM

Hi,
I really don't want to sound stupid but I guess I will have to and ask how do you delete an album? I (admin) was just testing it out so added an album and then some pics but don't really want the album there when site goes live. Should I not have the option to delete the album being the admin? How? Where?

Also, the post right above mine is a good question too. Can you limit the number of albums a single user can have?

Thanks

1. Go into the Album you want to delete.
2. Top right, click "Edit Album"
3. Then, on the next page you should have the option: "To delete this album, click this box and press the 'Delete Album' button"

Or put simply:
http://www.yoursite.com/album.php?do...bum&albumid=** (where ** is the album id)

I did finally figure it out, I'm glad it wasn't a snake. Thanks for the reply anyway.

setishock 03-29-2009 12:27 AM

My albums are in the file system and not in the database. Is there anything I'd have to do differently as in placement of the php file?

JamesAB 03-29-2009 01:24 AM

One more small suggestion. It would be great to limit the characters in the album's description and then add a "More" link if the text has more than X number of charcters.

I only realized this was a problem when somebody created an album with a seven paragraph description and it made the "All Albums" page fomatting look bad because this one album stretched so much vertically.

Thanks again for the great mod.

What template? What edit? Oh, the cruelty of half-answers in a forum for mods...:(

Just modify the navbar and add the link where you want it.

HTML Code:

<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="all_albums.php?$session[sessionurl]">All Albums</a></td></tr>

dreck 04-02-2009 08:09 PM

I've had this installed for quite some time. GREAT JOB!

I was wondering if anyone figured out how to create albums inside of albums?

This would be very useful to me.

Thanks, dreck

Musika 04-03-2009 05:25 PM

It would be nice to have an picture search too on the picture description.

RedBaron9112 04-05-2009 02:25 PM

Hello Everyone,

First, thanks to Abe for a fabulous hack. Pure genious.

I installed the hack last month, and it was working perfectly until yesterday. Now, for some reason, after new photos are uploaded, only the photo title displays, not the thumbnail. If the photo title is clicked, the large photo displays normally.

Please check it out at:

http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/album.php?albumid=83

How do I correct this?

If I may ask, please respond to me by email at:

baron@wonbid.com

If that's not possible, I will try to check back in the forum when possible. (I'm on the road right now, but need to fix this Album glitch ASAP.)

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Baron

The all_albums page is working just fine. It is your regular albums page (not related to this modification) that is having problems. You should post in the normal forums here or on vb.com for help with that. The first thing that will be suggested is to turn off all your modifications to see if you still have the problem though. But, as I said, you should post in the normal help forums for help with the issue since it's not related to this modification.

Actually, it's not. On the All Albums page, you can see that the latest album posted isn't displaying it's "cover" photo.

Hmmm.. The All Albums is the only Modification I have. So if I turn it off... I'm not sure what that will tell me.

This page on your site is displaying just fine for me - http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/all_albums.php

It looks to me like you somehow deleted the thumbnails or something. The all_albums page (this mod) just displays what your other albums are able to display. Your problem is not a problem with this mod, but a problem with your albums. If they were displaying fine in your albums, but not in the mod, then I'd say it's a problem with the mod, but that isn't the case here.

Are you saying that you're seeing a thumbnail in the left column, to the left of the Album name "Hoof Conditions" I don't see the thumbnail there.

I'm no longer saying it's a problem with the All Albums mod. You are correct. But I haven't deleted any thumbnails either. I just created a test album, uploaded some photos, and all that displayed were the titles for the photos. No thumbnails. Clicking on the titles of the photos displayed the photos. So it seems the thumbnails aren't being created to begin with, or the Albums function is no longer displaying them for newly uploaded photos. I need to find out why.

Private albums are also visible with this mod ( I use this on Vbulletin 3.8.2.)
Is there a solution to hide the private albums??

Lars T 04-15-2009 07:13 AM

Great Mod - have had it installed for quite some time know..

From time to time a user is experiencing, the "upload pics" link in the right hand side above and below the frame disappears totally.? The user has the same settings as the other users who aren't experiencing any issues. It might be a local problem, but not sure..

Any help is appreciate..

AWMGolfer 04-15-2009 09:25 PM

I have the same question. Any way to have the albums not show at all when someone chooses to keep their album for members/friends/etc only?
