You may convert it for your own use. But, you won't be getting permissions from the developer to share it since he passed away in a diving accident (read the first post of the thread).

This is superb mod! It is a pity VB itself does not have this feature.

I was not a big follower of his work but the Spam Decimator was an awesome mod for VB.
That mod alone has kept me from upgrading to 4.x

I was looking through his forum though and he had some real talent.

Again, I am sorry for the tragic loss...

I just wanted to add here that this is the single best mod I've ever seen and it works like a charm. It is simply brilliant and I still use it every day. I hope his work will be continued by others.

Man spammers add signature or set home page url. So even if banned, on profile pages, it shows url, signature. Can this mod remove user signature/home page url too ? For now, after banning a user, i have to login to admin area and edit user profile to remove signature/home page links.

No it does not remove signatures or home page. You could probably modify it yourself to do so though.

Is there any updated version for vb 3.8.x ? I really need this mode but I'm not sure that works with version 3.8.x or not!

When in doubt, try it on your test site.

It works fine on my 3.8 forum. I can't recall if I had to edit it or not. So, like I said, try it on your test site.

I'd really like to see this for 4.x as well. Does anyone know if there is a similar mod in the works? I had this on my 3.x and it was great. Saved a ton of time.

I just installed this mod on my 3.8.x board, and integrated it with my "New Registrant Analyzer", and wow did it simplify things.

Very sorry to hear about the original author, best wishes to his family.

This mod is excellent, works as intended on my boards first try. Hassle free install on 3.8.1

I even made a small edit to my user profile templates to add the 'ban and clean' link to the user profiles, rather then just on posts, since I saw some comments said they were having troubles with that. The template you are looking for is:

Member info templates > MEMBERINFO

I just added the ban and clean link after the code for Edit User Profile, search "edit_user_profile" to find the spot. Good luck!

I installed it with 3.8.7. It works but between steps I get this error:

Tooltip Script Error Message:

wz_tooltip.js must be included INSIDE the body section, immediately after the opening <body> tag.

I read every post in this thread, there's no mention of this problem. Any idea how I can fix it?

try downloading the vb4 version and see if you can see the line in question and compare it with this version. Also note this will not delete blogs from the user I do have an updated version for vb4 that does

The vb4 version messed up my forum, so uninstalled.

Still looking for a fix for the old version.
