Is there a way to enable the full wysiwyg editor for members who make there own pages?

For example: I add a page and set up the name and style. On my new page I choose the option to edit content. When the edit page appears I am presented with just a basic text input box (not even a bold/italics option. Is there a way to allow for the full text editor to be used (or to use HTML?)

Is that turned on for your forum? The system uses whatever you use on your forum. As an example from the zointsdemo site, see the attached image.

I, too, am experiencing this on the board I am developing.

I do have WYSIWYG enabled in my forum, but I only get Standard editor in ZL.

The main vBlogetin class is (unfortunately) named "Blog". I'll see if I can rename it soon without breaking anything.

When you say standard editor, do you mean just a plain text box or the one in the screenshot above in post 444?

I had 1.0 RC2 installed and working just fine for the past couple weeks.

Today, out of the blue I cannot access any admin features. Iget this error when trying to access mysite/forums/z/zadmin.php


I figured it was just a bug, so I upgraded to the new version. Uploaded the files with overwrite but am gettgin the same error when trying to access:

mysite/forums/z/install/manager.php


Cleared cookies, tried from another computer, not sure what to do. Submitted a support ticket to Zoints with administrator credentials.

Please help me DChapman!



EDIT: Duh!!! NEVERMIND!! I must have accidently installed it under my regular posting ID. David got me squared away.

We finally got this one tracked down. It happens only on new installs. You can solve it one of three ways:

1. Run the update (even though you are already updated, it won't hurt anything)
2. Wait for 1.0.2
3. Execute this sql query:

Anyway, what is your setting for:

vbulletin admincp > vbulletin options > Message Posting Interface Options > Enable Clickable Message Formatting Controls > Full editor ?

I have a huge forum with myspace profile re-write pro customized and integrated with Photopost. I'm not satisfied with the functionality of my profiles yet and I need something better. This could be an option however I still hold a grudge against Zoints for the fiasco you pulled at the beginning. I'm unsure if I want to do business with you or not but this lite version is a step in the right direction and I may reconsider.

Can the users change the colors and layout of their pages themselves?

Though we never intended to upset anyone, I do apologize for not communicating our initial intentions better.

Yep! We make it very easy with a realtime profile editor, drag and drop, and more. Or, if you prefer not to allow them to, you can disable profile editing.

However, I am surprised to not see a buddylist block. Where is the buddylist?

EDIT - there should be an option to add forum buddylist to groups.

installed it last night, struggled a bit but seems to work well

altho i cant get some of the features working right just yet.

We're looking to automatically add buddylists in a future release.

That can't be done with the free version of Zoints Local, sorry. You'll see why soon enough (a great way to market your forum for free is coming) :)

Trying to install zoints local right now.

Got to the point of it saying I was not an administrator, so I assumed it didn't have my cookie info. I logged in as Admin, and in the same browser, reopened the installer. Worked now.

Then it asked me for the directory of my forum. So I typed that in.

It founded all the info, and I hit ok.

It next asked me to clear the database. Since I didn't have zoints local installed before, no need, so I just clicked next.

Then... blank screen. I can't re-run the installer cuz it just takes me back to the database question, and if I hit ok, it takes me back to the blank screen.

I read it might be cuz I was trying to do:

mysite.com/z/install/index.php

and my forum is actually at:

mysite/forums/

So i tried to re-install the installer at:

mysite.com/forums/z/install/index.php

And that took me right back to the clear database question.

Any ideas? Windows and PHP 4.4.4 and vBulletin Version 3.6.1

And I am using the latest versions of zoints

Over on the Zoints forum, I was told this is not working because I am using ISAPI, and not FastCGI.

What difference does this make, if any? Why would I need to switch to FastCGI to make this work... anyone else have this problem?

I reverted my memberinfo template prior to installing. Was that necessary?

I was confused by this too. THis only happens if you are looking at your own profile. if you look at someone else's or log out and look at yours it works fine.

I wouldn't see why it would be necessary. Try adding them back one by one and seeing if it causes any problems.
