9 out of 10 times this is because of settings (port,ip,password) or your webhost has blocked ports. Many web hosts only allow queries for data on port 80 (http, rss, xml feeds). I have seen many webhosts designate a port for "other" needs of their clients.

If you are 100% sure your setting and install is correct.

Send a ticket to your webhost and see if ports are blocked (ie:8000). If so they may give you another port you can use. Reset your shoutcast server to output on that port. Lastly, if there is nothing that your host will do, you can move the shoutcast server to output on port 80 vs. 8000.

1) only the media player shows in a new window with the skin the rest players dont shown skins and no play..
2)The media player try to load the link but only for seconds then nothing..

ok ... I host my own shoutcast server as well as admin my own ports.... I have my default port for shoutcast set at 8000 and my broadcast program is encoding.. I have people that can "hit" listen to my broadcasts but for somereason the hack always says the shoucast server is allways down.......

I have verified the password aswell as the ports and everything is right....
I also changed the cache setting to :chmod 666 still nothing ... what might I be doing wrong?

Any help would be AWSOME

I don't think that you find here shoutcast Hack for 3.7.x
I have 3.7.3 board and i use shoutcast hack for 3.6.x and is working fine.
Only with the CMPS shoutcast hack i get problems..

If your server is off line all the time, your webhost is stoping the querry to your remote shoutcast system (9 out of 10 times). Many hosts block all ports via firewall except 80. Send a e-mail to your host about what ports are open that you can use to read a xml feed other than port 80.

I completely forgot about checking for an update on this, I still have the 3.5 version working on my 3.7.3 / 3.8 beta boards. Any reason to upgrade to the 3.6 version if it's working fine?

Forgive me for asking what may be a stupid question but my host blocked my port, and after reading on here I asked them to open it again.
They re-opened the port and it's now working fine again but now they are asking me "How much data will you pull through this port?", Well my answer was I have no idea......lol

The only data you are getting from shoutcast server to webhost is 4.8k per refreash of your cache file.
If your cache file is set to update every 3 min = 20 times an hour = 96KB hour = 576KB for a 6 hour show.

That is if the cache file updates every 3 min

Usually in your FTP program you can RT-click the file / folder and "CHMOD" or get the permissions / properties of the file.

I've added this mod. It's great, worked nicely.

However, I cannot set it to display on every page. I've set it to use a custom location and included the variable. It works on Forumhome, but on other pages it does not.

Right click on corrupted images and see where they are pointing to, then move the images in the upload folder ther.

You need to put the radio ip.

If your hosting your radio from your home or have access to change your radio server port
Change it to 80 and try it

First of all thanx for this wonderful addon.

But i have some issues with it, i have all the correct setttings in my admincp still it always shows that the server is down.

My port is 8088 and not 8000...Does that make any difference? (however i have put 8088 in port field in admicp)
