Installed on 3.7.0 seems fine.

KURTZ 05-31-2008 09:35 AM

finally i found this hack!

peterpigman 05-31-2008 01:19 PM

I think the PM function is the problem with 3.71, I installed it and it is starting thread etc but is not sending Pm notification.

Edit: No that just came through too. Working fine now.

KURTZ 06-01-2008 02:00 PM

yes it runs correctly ... :)

ronitdeep 06-02-2008 04:35 PM

works great for me..
caught 20 members within 1st 2-3 days..
gr8 must for all

rowlandc 06-05-2008 07:22 PM

not working on mine. 3.7 I just want to ask how do you guys check it works?

What I did was register two accounts and nothing happened... are there any template changes required?

NavS 06-05-2008 07:33 PM

I figured out my problem... but I kinda sorta don't know how to fix it. Long story short impex didn't keep everyone's IDs the same. For example my userid before was 4 now it's 5... the AE detector wouldn't like that.

How do I change the AE detector so it just makes a whole new cookie, possibly with a different name...?

rowlandc 06-06-2008 10:20 PM

Check the second post

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....79&postcount=2

That should help you out.

maleficarum 06-08-2008 11:29 AM

Sweet mod bro, we have had a couple of problems due to people abusing logins, thanks.

sherwood 06-08-2008 11:48 AM

Does this work on vbulletin 3.7

Edit: just relised the first post that it works sorry

abrecher 06-08-2008 03:39 PM

"username1 seems to have multiple personalities using username1 and username1 sharing the same computer. No soup for you! and you! and you!"

I get a lot of these where it's one username that's flagged and no others are mentioned ?

Paul M 06-08-2008 04:02 PM

Its a kind of bug, it happens when members have been deleted - their userid still exists in the AE cookie, but obviously this cannot display their name anymore as it no longer exists.

That makes a lot of sense but I've researched this quite a bit and these members were never deleted ?

Vitrag24 - it works for some people and not for others.

Is that the answer you are wanting?

You have been given your answer multiple times, making sensless posts like above are not going to get you a different answer. Most likely people will just ignore you.

Sorry if i've done mistake.
But i would like to request you to check my question.
I've asked once only, then another user was just answering irrelavantly and i was giving answer to him.
You can check my replies in other threads also, i'm replying to many user queries too.

Anyways, i've installed product and will post definite result.

Thanks for your time.

FRANKTHETANK 2 06-22-2008 04:16 PM

There is an exploit for this. I had a member use the exploit and was even able to bring our entire server down because of this exploit. Here is some proof.

Boofo 06-22-2008 04:26 PM

I don't see how this hack could bring the server down. Look more like IP spoofing to me. This hack just caught it.

FRANKTHETANK 2 06-22-2008 04:38 PM

He has the exploit and he won't give it to me which means he's planning on releasing it i think. So fair warning. He shut my server down for 4 days. I know nothing about hacking all i know is he logged in and was controlling my name which is the main admin. Also i just checked what ip spoofing is and that would be impossible caz that means proxies and proxies don't log in they just give different ip's

Boofo 06-22-2008 04:55 PM

I think he is pulling your chain on this hack being the exploit. He got in another way and is directing you to this hack so you won't look elsewhere.

Bubble #5 06-22-2008 04:57 PM

Thank you for the warning Frank. We'll be removing this hack until the issue is resolved.

Boofo 06-22-2008 04:59 PM

There is no issue with this hack.

KURTZ 06-22-2008 05:00 PM

folks, if this hack has an exploit the Crew put this onto the graveyard ... ;)

Boofo 06-22-2008 05:01 PM

And it would have showed up way before now. I trust Michael's code.

All i know is it's better safe than sorry. I feel horrible for posting that this hack has an exploit but it does. I have actually seen the exploit in .txt format when he did remote desktop with me earlier today. He didn't mean to shut down the server he said. But who knows if he really did mean to. He has been banned but, i suggest disabling it for now if you have it uploaded to your site.

Boofo 06-22-2008 05:04 PM

If you have seen the exploit, please PM me with the proof and I will gladly eat my words. Otherwise, it is not right to label a hack as having exploits unless you can prove it.

KURTZ 06-22-2008 05:04 PM

Frank if you're sure about this, tell what you know to Marco, Paul or someone ... you cannot came here with these posts ...

Videx 06-22-2008 05:04 PM

I sort of agree. You're misinterpreting the AE Detector output for the problem, when it's only doing what you asked it to.

It could be a lot of exploits. Have you checked versions and updated everything like vbulletin, PHP and MySQL?

And - it should go without saying, but change ALL your passwords.
