I have no bugs/problems at all with this other than a bunch of missing phrases and the lack of features... And the fact that Cole abandoned it. :(

I don't even see a reason to use anything other than the flash player, since it's the most browser/platform-independant choice anyhow.

I haev read this thread hoping to find out why I cant hear my music to no avail so.......

I dont have a flash mp3 player installed and in the settings its set to no, in this instance what players is it suposed to use?

Do I have to alter the templates and if so where and with what?

I really want this hack but I may have to uninstall it.

Can anyone help - it uploads the tracks - it says its playing but I hear no music and no player starts. What am I missing?

I'm guessing Cole's pretty much abandoned this.

gettin an error when i try to play media in a pop up...i click where it says, under the player, and i get this.....

Sorry if this has been posted before in one of the previous pages but I have been attempting to upload music from a CD to the jukebox but only receive this message: Could not find phrase 'jukebox_fieldmissing'.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do ?? do I need to convert the CD to an MP3 format and if so, what are some of the better free programs to use for this ???

you can try using itunes or musicmatch to convert to mp3 files.

for the error did you put the authors name in, you must fill this box before you submitt. I had the same error and that cured it.

well i figured out how to set it to.. "777" by right clicking in your FTP program and scrolling to "properties/CHMOD". But i'm still getting that error!

did anyone get it to work in firefox yet?

Oh then that's really bad...

Works fine on 3.6 except for the Open in New Window / Large Version link, get an error.

Also, the post comment buttons are missing and it would be ace if you could create different categories.

For some reason I was able to upload from Link to File: but not upload from my pc. I'm getting error msg:

Ok I was able to upload which I have to add re-upload the XML file again. Now when I try to add a comment I'm getting this error msg.

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Now what do i have to do to get rid of it?????

login to your admincp >> under usergroup: modify your user permission and look for " JukeBox" than specify your privilege.

I've not looked at this in detail, but I take it it's abandoned from the comments here? I leanred my lessons about installing abandoned products long ago!

Basically, if the author isn't in the thread, still posting, don't install a product.

Woul dlike to see the autho rupdate this. especially to work with firefox.

Popup doesnt work with IE either.

90% of th einternet population uses Firefox these days, SO making something that doesnt work with firefox just doesn;t make any sense.

wow, you guys are arguing over who uses what broswer the most... aanyways, theres bugs in this such as when you are viewing media and click on "View in Full Version/Popup", it doesnt do anything besides goto a blank screen. Also, when i try to make a quick reply, it goes to and error which says.

The phrase errors are a known issue with this, and it doesn't look like Cole's ever coming back to it, sadly. :(

some good coder should re-write this whole hack cuz its a very good hack. But should add-on to it, where the upload actually works and you can make song categoreys and all the rest of the features requested. I've only been able to successfully upload two songs that were small filesized, all the rest in my juke box are link hosted. SOMEONE RE-WRITE THIS AND FIX IT UP! :)

lol, i was able to upload 1 song
i went into my jukebox_media table in the sql database and i made a upload to use from there, and it worked that way
as far as the phrases, they are coded wrong cuz i went and made a phrase for

and i made the phrase say

and i still got the same can't find phrase code, so this means its not coded to load the phrases right. i will try and look into the codes, i might be able to fix it.
as far as uploading a file the real intended way i have no clue how to fix it or where to start.

ok i got a few phrase locations found there is a few more but they are in admin cp so no biggy
go to admincp---> Languages & Phrases---> Phrase Manager---> then at the bottom of the list you will see add phrase click there.

The main reason for the phrases being messed up in 3.6+ is that certain fields within some tables were taken out in 3.6 beta1 or somewhere around that release! just in case anyone was not aware :)

Quite easy to fix though.

angkor408, in mine its the same thing, ur on 3.5.4 and im in 3.6.2, so its from the code some field not enter corectly.

There is not a link I just know that fields were removed, I asked over at vb.com but did not get a response, this is one of the reasons the older plugins do not work with 3.6.

I am considering making a plugin to reinstall the missing fields so that addons such as this will work again. It is easier than waiting for someone to re code them. If a plugin is made you will be able to uninstall them before any upgrades of vb and then install again once your upgrade is complete, if you see where i am coming from.

I also noticed this option « Previous Item | Next Item » does not link correctly. For some reason the media sorting is not correct.

I hope we can the plugin soon from Spikeman.
