hm i still got the same error message after using the redownloaded files. :(
Sure you really have fixed the XML?

Uploaded the files and the XML to a new test installation, everything appears to function properly.

hm i have deleted the mod completely and installed it again. Now everything seems to work, but in the admin cp on top of all vbplaza administration sheets there is an error message:

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/clients/client11/web31/web/admincp/vbplaza_item.php on line 33

What version of PHP are you using? Tested against vB 4.1.9 on PHP 5.3.8.

I use vBulletin 4.1.8 (don't need 4.1.9 cause i don't use mobile style) and my php is 5.3.8-1~dotdeb.1

Can you try the uninstall.php script and uploading/installing again?
