Could you please support UTF8 so we can buy it.

Second of all, we have a lite version for testing before buying. It is very similar to the Ultimate version minus a handful of features. So if you did try out the lite, and you liked it, then why would you complain about the ultimate version.

Edit: We actually just tested it with UTF-8, and that will cause a performance lag. That explains your performance graphs.

1. Of course I did and I'm still having problems with non latin languages. About your "We have said many times that it does not work with Foreign language websites" OK, WHERE? I didn't see any note about that on your site http://forum-skins.com/plugins/forum...notifications/ and there's no any warning about to use UTF-8 forums or foreing language.

2. huh? Where is your lite version on your site? The first time that I see your product is on your site, damn google fooled me and I wasted my money.

OMG!!!!

Are you really sure you're not using UTF-8?

Because your product create two UTF-8 tables expressly, and have to encode to UTF-8 before to write on database... so that mean you are using a UTF-8 DB on ISO-8859-1 vB front. -> too BAD

If this is true. Your "testing" forum have a incorrect vBulletin installation. If you're using ISO-8859-1 on front, your database would be latin1 (latin1_sweedish_ci). If you're using UTF-8 on vB front, your database would be UTF-8 too (uft8_general_ci) and tell vBulletin you want to connect to UTF-8 database on your config.php

It shouln't be my problem I paid for a "gold" product and it is not. So please consider my refund or stop my suscription until you have a REAL reliable product.

Saludos.

Seriously? Forum-Skins.com Notifications works perfectly. Stop trying to taint it. I have it on multiple forums working simultaneously on one server. And we get anywhere from 300k-900k visitors a month. And if you don't believe me, create an account on BuyPoe.com. I urge that you test it out. It is the same exact modification that is on FS.com, no tweaks, or special template edits. Its' a right out of the box installation

Can others describe how the mod is working on the their forums please?

insaneoz 08-30-2011 10:15 AM

ummm... yeahhhhhhh it works really, really AWESOME on my site. I would gladly vouch for daveaite and his team as this is one of the best products, ever.

I think ryhosukee must work for a competitor of yours. David clearly states that it doesn't work for UTF-8 and foreign symbols etc. Why are you giving him such a hard time? you didnt do your homework and your blaming it on him.

And his site offers way more than just the notifications mod. he can't refund you because he's given you everything for one price, and you already have access. I am currently a vip member and it is one of the best things i've spent my money on. cheers.

to dave: ignore that guy. keep doing your thing.

i am also using forum-skins notifications 2.0 gold. i think the lite version on vb.org is a 1.x version.

So are you using UTF-8 on your database, huh? Because your code doesn't lie. I fix the UTF-8 and foreing problem just removing your "workaround", and having a good vBulletin installation. So HOW can you say that using UTF-8 cause performance issues?

I'm testing now with a ISO-8859-1 vbulletin installation. I will show you my results.

Now I see the "Restrictions", but was recently published.

Saludos

I just looked at his themes (go green, n his others) this is vb.org no where else your going to find this many bad as skins in one place/plug-ins ect. so his other features haven't sold me. But i must agree with your other comment, if the asking price is 59 bucks. For this Plug-in alone (if you care about your community/website) this plug-in is a GREAT and very awesome mod. 59 bucks for a lifetime of use..... Yeah worth it to me too.
