I just copied it to the directory /bf3/images/editor

I left it in both directories

I figured it out. I made the change in the Style Variable Editor > vbcms_body_background. Changed the "Background Color" to transparent and then mapped the bg image (images/bf3/body-bg-fill.png) in the "Background Image"

this is a very nice style! its the best free i ever have seen for Vbulletin. its a shame that it have so many bugs and not is updated for the latest version of vbulletin. hope someone will fix it up :)
