@bikoy, go in FTP, find the folder in question by following the order and right click on AOP folder, look for permission in the contextual menu and change from there ;)

Now , this is a freaking nightmare not to be able to get some answers from you Fillip regarding some bugs that we......i think everyone in here as a custom skin....can't pin point because of that!
On my forum the shoutbox is all there and well installed but the darned thing doesn't LOAD nor shows the xtra tabs on every 6 skins that i have but when i go into the default/original, it works OK
In your designer/coder mind you must have an idea of where to look first at least to put me in the right path on where to look for the problem....NO???

I have 3 choice, either i find the trouble or i buy the pro version and you won't have the choice to look for the problem for me or i simply uninstall and get another one!
Hummm, what should i do? No offense Fillip but i used the 5.2.3 lite edition for long time with out having any trouble and now that i "Update" to your latest ....not working!!! Totally like the new vB 4.1.4 that i reverted to 4.1.2 lv1 since it didn't work properly with lots of plugins :(

My advise, do not install plugins anymore lollll:D

I really hate updates!

Sorry, the Pro version doesn't entitle you to support for custom skins :(
The money you pay for the Pro version is for the time spent developing the product, not support. Support is not a guarantee, we just give it to the best of our abilities because it's the right thing to do. Support only covers actual bugs in the application itself, and questions for how a certain part of it works. We cannot configure it for you, and we cannot support custom skins :(

Please understand that when we're dealing with custom skins, there's literally millions of possible configurations out there, and if we took the time to support them all, we would have no time to update the product (thus you would no longer get new features or bug fixes).

It's a policy we have not out of spite, but out of necessity :(

I have the same problem on my 4.1.3 board but it works good on my 4.1.4 test board.

If I figure it out tonight I'll report back.

Hi,

I got another problem recently. Please need your help.

If anyone double click on anybody's shout it shows off in the Input box. And in input box you edit the text and press enter it gets replaced on the shoutbox. Members are started playing with it. Editing some others shout to funny text etc.

Can anyone help me please ?

fxwoody 06-18-2011 08:19 AM

i think you can adjust this in the instance setting for each usergroup !

Try using a Firefox extension called Firebug to see if there's any errors with the AJAX call, I'm unable to replicate this on either 4.1.3 or 4.1.4 :(

Take away the "Can Edit Others' Shouts" permission in the Instance Manager :)

i guess, that i have solution for this problem
when u click on "View banned users" u enter to /admincp/vbshout.php?do=viewbanned , and now try replace "viewbanned" to "banned". it should display correct page.
similarly is with notifications in acp - replace "permissions" to "notifications"
