Ok i found where it is caused. Please check what affect disabling the codelines have.

called by plugin: AME: Prep Text / postdata_presave

function can be found in:
includes/ame_bbcode.php -> function ame_prep_text:

Code:

        $substitutes = array(
            '%\[quote([^\]]*)\](.*?)\[/quote\]%sime',
            '%\[php\](.*?)\[/php\]%sime',
            '%\[html\](.*?)\[/html\]%sime',
            '%\[code\](.*?)\[/code\]%sime',
        );

when commenting them out, the variables DONT get removed from the post, and all still seems to work fine with the embed videos = Bug is solved. But it needs someone to check what exactly that function is doing, maybe it is for security and commenting out is dangerous.

feedback please.

Someone just posted on our forum that if you escape the dollar with a backslash "\$" they show up.

Hi, Anyone have any idea why it would only work in the first post in a thread but not in subsequent posts? Thankyou.

I need a way to post a flash video, (I assume it's flash, I right click and it says flash). Can I use this hack to post it in a thread? I haven't read all of the pages, but it looks like it has had it's share of problems working.
Is it working ok on the latest release?
Thanks!

Anybody?

How would I resolve this?

I'm testing in local and it works very well. Thanks for this great mod.

But when I have installed this other mod here: BBcode Manager 1.32 : New looks for your quote, html, php and code bbcodes ! ( https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=120073 ) this is what I get whenever I try editing a post, in quickedit it just fails to update the thread. And when I use the advanced edit option to edit a thread, I get this error:

Code:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\vb_368\forum\includes\ame_bbcode.php(192) : regexp code on line 2

Fatal error: Failed evaluating code: ame_substitute(3, "
\"$vbphrase[insert_link]\"
\"$vbphrase[remove_link]\"
\"$vbphrase[insert_email_link]\"
\"$vbphrase[insert_image]\"
", "", $subbed) in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\vb_368\forum\includes\ame_bbcode.php on line 192

The error seems to be coming form the AME mod so would you have any idea what comes in conflict? I tried asking in the other mod thread but got no answer.

Uninstall one of the mods...they appear to be incompatible.

I heard a few reports that it was working fine on most 3.6-3.7 versions. It works, as long as you keep your definitions up to date, and of course, as long as video sites have code that cooperates. For the most part, they do. I've got the community XML definitions compiled here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=175378 You want the Local Hosted ZIP file for one that will convert flash.

Bear in mind, that it will only do so for videos hosted on your site, not flash videos in any general location. The definitions are site specific, meaning you have to have a definition defined to convert videos for a specific site.

It's working fine on vB 3.7 RC1 for us.

Running VB 3.6.9

The BB isnt picking up.

Any ideas on why this would be.

I am really only looking for a way to embed avi vids hosted on my site into a thread.

Have you already added the definition for locally hosted AVI files?
