Does anyone know how to make the download page (when someone clicks to download a file) bring up another page with google ads or adbrite ads etc. on them like rapidshare.com and megaupload.com do?

The ability to 'pass through' another page will be in the next release and you can patch the template that's used in the pass through to display whatever you want.

Thanks for the all the replies AndrewD! This hack is really sweeeeeeeet :-).

How did a member get those stats (total downloaded, etc.) I am running a beta version and cant seem to find it :)

I think tis MAY or MAY not be a bug in the beta:
Featured sites are shown no matter what the user permissions are -- I would think that if a user has no permission to view any of the links, then the featured sites shoudln't show either (although , when they try and click on any link, it says permission denied).

Make sure you have protected_link set to 0 in permissions.

It is set that way -- nothing showson the page EXCEPT for the featured sites -- it seems to be msising permission checking if you ask me.

This hack is amazing. Better then ecDownloads by far and away, I would just like one thing different, have the ability to add more then 1 image to a download, a variable set to allow a certain amount per. Otherwise, I have no complaints, or changes, you've thought of just about everything I could want, thanks so much!

Featured sites (in the latest betas) are taken from the 'favourites' of a selected user. On the admin/settings page, you specify which user and how many of his/her favourites to display as featured sites.
