You can define profile styles that will match your forum's scheme. And as for the graphics disappearing (in the style), typically that is due to how the style is coded and not to Zoints. If you open up a support ticket, I'd be glad to check it out and give a hand with it. Zoints can't work for every custom style and look out of the box, that is impossible, but with a little time and effort I haven't seen a style that didn't look at home with a Zoints profile.

I've read this entire thread and this issue was never addressed. I have the same problem.

My users are not going to be very enthusiastic about using zoints unless they have a full WYSIWYG editor. What they DONT want is a standard editor where their post editing is cluttered up by a bunch of ugly BB code.

I don't know what the solution could be other than the engineers coding a version with that included. I am assuming there was some difficulties which made it impossible to include at the time of the past releases. You've opened up a ticket and posted over there (at the support forums) as well, so if an answer is to be found regarding this, it'll be there.

I thought I would post the Zoints support response to this issue, along with my reply, for the benefit of any forum admins facing the same issue.

Well, at least I'm glad it's not some strange configuration problem of my
own. I've never seen this issue explained before.

I hope you guys can come up with an effective solution soon as It's going to
be really difficult for me to promote the Zoints area of my site with things
as they are. I expect many other forum admins are facing the same issues.
The vast majority of users have not had to look at formatting codes when
editing text since the early 90's and I know it is not going to be well
received. Disabling the enhanced WYSIWYG may have solved the myriad of
technical problems, but as the old adage goes, the solution to a
problem....changes the nature of the problem. I installed Zoints to help
grow my community but users will want to see ease of use.

I hope you guys will make reintroducing the enhanced WYSIWG a top priority.
I simply don't see how users are going to actively participate in the Zoints
enable features until the enhanced editor is functional.

Great service from Reid, installing Zoints and it works like a treat. A social-networking that hardly differs from i5/myspace etc. Keep up the good work Zoints.

I am only interested in:

an expanded user profile that is easy & fun for my forum members to use to
Upload photos, videos, MP3's, Give detailed info about themselves and interact with other members of the same forum

I am not interested in:

providing my members a conduit to go networking with members of other forums

with that in mind is this the right product?

If so, do you have any tips on how to steer forum members towards the Zoints profile pages and get them to invest time in filling out the data fields?

Is there a way to 'kill off' the VB profile area - and force folks to use the Zoints Profile area? In other words.. What do people do with a VB CP area AND a Zoints Profile area running at the same time? Zoints doesn't seems to commandeer the User CP admin area of VB, its its own separate area.. Any tips for me..?

This is a very basic feature so I was surprised it didn't work.
