Yes, look in the vBulletin Options for vB under the SEO section and it has a place to fill in the forums that you want to exclude.

thank you...

but...

there is a system to include all sub-forums too? I have many subforums :/

hornstar1337,
current version should work with vB3.6.0

vBSEO Sitemap Generator should include only subforums visible for guests by default.

Visible forums and subforums are automathically generated, but the problem is that vBSEO generates also all the private forums by dafault. For the moment I selected all the private forums to esclude. But it's not simple if you have 100 privates forums :/.

Bye

Thnk you.

I installed..
Just a question. Maybe i didnt see it in the info files.

I installed the mod, configured it in the task manager. When i do a "run now" i get an email with info.

In the admin panel of the sitemap mod i can see that "google notify" is "yes". In the google download log i can see some googble bots.

Is this proof that the mod works for me? And within how many time will i see my index pages in google........

I dont have any experience with google sitemaps.

I have a couple of questions. I have read the first 32 pages of this topic, but did not find an answer:

1. When I go to my google webmaster account, it won't let me upload the sitemap, since it is not located in www.mysite.com/ but in www.mysite.com/forum/vbseo_sitemap/
The .htaccess should have fixed this, but didn't. My .htaccess is located at www.mysite.com/forum/
I do not have a .htaccess at www.mysite.com/
Is this the problem? Or has it to do with the server settings? mod_rewrite is loaded on my linux server. url_rewriter.tags is set as: a=href, area=href, frame=src, form=,fieldset=
http://www.mysite.com/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz does work.
In the past I have failed to turn on url rewriting in Links & Downloads Manager. So, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some settings that need to be changed. Is there anything else I need to do?

2. I have vbadvanced, Links & Downloads Manager, Photopost & GARS installed. This is a large part of my site. For which hacks are there add-ons available? Where can I find them?

3. The log shows that the googlebot downloaded my sitemap files and I have received an email. Does this mean google wil crawl the pages submitted? Or can the problem under 1. still get in the way?

4. Is including showpost pages wise? I read somewhere that it is not, but I have no clue myself. Please explain.

It will be most interesting to see the results. I just discovered that Google only indexed a couple hundred of my forum pages. I've got 37.000 (without showpost).

I get this in all my reports.
Any ideas? Thanks

RayStorm,

please PM me your vbseo_sitemap/ url/password and an example of private subforum url that is included in sitemap.

Dammie,

once you see googlebot downloading your sitemap, it should be ok. However, you can also add your sitemap URL to your google webmaster account to make sure there are no parsing errors.

Alfa1,

1. you should add new "site" in webmaster account: www.mysite.com/forum/ (NOT www.mysite.com) and add sitemap URL to it.
2. the only addon included in the vBSEO Sitemap Generator package is for vBa cmps
3. see reply to Dammie

azarl,
please add the following in vbseo_getsitemap.php file:
PHP Code:

    error_reporting(E_ALL&~E_NOTICE);

ABOVE this line
PHP Code:

    $smap $_GET['sitemap'];

Just decided to try and do this, I will report my experience once I complete the install on it. It looks promising and will hopefully help index my site better!
