Same here. First time fresh installation 2.3.1 on vb3.8.1 and all I get is "loading". Searched on this forum and the developer website and see some people have the same issue, but there doesn't seem to be any solution. Will wait and see. Thanks!

Well with latest version noone experienced loading issues. Those who experienced it had not upgrade the files or the product correctly or had non reverted templates.

Try also to load yui either from local or yahoo server (see general chatbox options).

Just found and fixed my usernames not showing problem. All it was is I was uploading the files in auto mode and I changed the upload to binary and now the usernames all show.

And now there's a new problem. When I click on the "expand/collapse" arrow, when the chatbox is collapsed I don't see the chats anymore."

Since your last post Vbdev, on my locahost I re-uploaded all the files, re-imported the product, re-imported the langage, all the MGC templates are reverted and finaly I've repeated "the last line" of your instructions (mgc_cb_evo.php?do=update_before_2.3.0). I've also tested both Yahoo and local YUI files.

But still the same problems, the loading stuff and now the chats disappearing when the box is collapsed.

About the loading stuff this must be an error on your side, two users had the problem with file not being uploaded correctly.

I think that there's a small bug in the PM system. The to/from system is not right. I send a PM to a member which usergroup color is blue and instead it shows my usergroup color red, someone send me a PM and instead o his name in "from" shoes mine. Does anyone have de same issue here? Image bellow to explain better.

In the list of reported bugs i already see that chats do not appear when chatbox is collapsed. I was wondering how do you usually deal with these bugs. Do we wait for the next months release or will you be doing a quick fix version (if it is quick:)?

I've solved my problem with usernames not showing up and I dont get the collapse problem. Whay I would suggest is make sure you upload the files in binary mode and try again.

You've been right, I figured out what was the problem, one of the js and one css files were corrupted. I redownloaded the zip and it fixes the loading stuff (even if it is quite slow with my small connection).

I just have a small display problem with the white arrow on the left side of the chats (see the screenshot) it doesn't appear anymore. What have I done wrong ? (maybe it's an option I didn't see)

Your style is missing menu_open.gif image (default in vB).

Working fine now. Thanks VBDev. This is from far the best release of this chatbox. I did not upgrade to the previous one, i was waiting for this one :D

I have anothe rproblem since updating it wont display in the Arcade, ive checked and all set as per instructions and was working fine before upgrade to latest version.

Any idea of the cure.

How do you mean, you have to set usergroup permissions for them to be able to see and use the channel, via usergroup in admin panel

Thanks, I have just installed this in our test board, no issues so far. We're running VB 3.8.1 CMPS 3.1.0
Only problems so far were ID 10 T errors

During the install we followed the directions and U/Led the Files folder to the root - MISTAKE - when we did what was in the folder to the appropriate place everything worked fine

We had it up and running but couldn't see it - MISTAKE - Once permissions were done ta-da

Will keep you informed if we run into anything but thanks again

Right, I have set the default channel, but within usergroups I have specified a different channel as the default for certain usergroups. It worked well two updates prior to this, but now it seems that even though the option is still in there for usergroups, it ignores the start channel and goes to the system default.

Well in this new version there are now 2 buttons for b u and i corresponding to on state and off state.

So you have to have :
mgc_cb_evo_b_on.gif
mgc_cb_evo_b_off.gif
mgc_cb_evo_i_on.gif
mgc_cb_evo_i_off.gif
mgc_cb_evo_u_on.gif
mgc_cb_evo_u_off.gif

The one of the default set are included in the zip file.

I think you misunderstood. I need to make the link to the existing b u and i icon files work. The on/off icon files are in the proper directory but the chat application is not linking to them for some reason. Everything else in the application works OK. It's only the b u and i icon files that are not being read by chat application. All I get is the missing icon picture; you now, the white box with the little red "X" inside.

For the arcades, I think I posted a post some time ago saying that two vars had to be added at the top of the function that build up the arcade.

For the first issue, it must have fixed it, refresh your browser cache perhaps javascripts files are currently cached and you are running old version due to that.

Do you have a specific configuration for the chatbox ? Like collapsed by default or something like that ?

finally upgraded from 1.5 to 2.3.1. branding free (after having it bought a couple of months ago) ...

It's currently impossible to unsticky a post
When notifications and latest thread display are disabled it's still showing the table/box

Also, would it be possible to clean up the templates a bit, cleaning up all blank characters, overdose of nested tables, and use some proper alignment?
