That depend on who many blocks you have in sidebar and blocks type. So be wise when setting your blocks like limitting the number of blocks that is pulling information from database.

You're right. I went from having nearly 50 blocks to 10 blocks and that works.

I had to use a RSS feed mixer to combine feeds together so that I didn't need to create multiple blocks.

Which block do you think is making it load longer? The recent posts block or rss block?

I'm trying to determine which block is causing it to load longer.

Alright I figured out what was slowing my sidebar down the most.

Show ESB Onload
Show ESB after page load.

^^^This option is on by default. I turned it off and now my pages load instantly.

Why is that even needed?

For blocks loading issue there is a lot of options to show some block on certain forums and pages even more options on gold version. So you can set the slower blocks on some forums and pages instead of all forum pages. Say to show rss news on plitics forum and so on.

Also for last post and rss news you can pull say 5 last posts instead of 10 this will speed up loading and performance.

under instructions on how to install onto custom pages, can you give more clarification on this instruction:

"3. Open custom page php file and before the render command add"

I'm not sure what the render command is.
