I second TPTP. We have received a few emails from Facebook relating the profile.setfbml method. We tried to grep our way to where they are called, and we seem to think it concerns the "create box" / tab on a FB user's page, maybe containing the latest updates from the forum. If this is so, we did not find a way to disable them from the plugin's options page - meaning that we tried to disable them from the admin options page, but you can still find the switches the users' facebook options page.

So, we still don't know whether it will be a breaking change or not.

Anyone has looked into this a little bit deeper?

I've been looking at Facebook Developers since yesterday, and all I can grasp in the debates going on in their forums is that this has more to do with Facebook Applications on Facebook itself. I could be wrong, but it has something to do with profile actions. I don't think this modification has many profile actions other that Wall posting and maybe the picture posting. That might be the only thing to look out for on the 17th. (Date was moved back.)

No Facebook Connected User Found! in the admincp

thats impossible. i knew that 15 users are connected.

and if users want to share their blogentrys or comments it doesnt work.

Enable this plugin and I get an error of "HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request." when attempting to view any forum post. Disable it and my forums work fine.

IVE had this for a while and it worked great with no problem but i recently wanted to add a mod that puts a FB LIKE & TWEET above the forum in the showthread template well , unfortunately . i couldnt have both without losing the other ,. in order to have the facebook like next to the tweet . i had to disable this mod because it was giving me server errors with them both being enabled, meaning the defualt VB FACEBOOK & this DEV'S FACEBOOK brigde . i dont know what the hell someone else was talking about this not being a great mod . but i tell you it is . running on VB 4.1 patch 2 ..
however sadly had to enable due to the 2 conflicting one another ... if anyone has them both running and knows a fix let me know thank you all & thank you DEV ......

I tried to register on a site with my email address, and because I'd forgotten I'd registered using my Facebook account, it didn't let me re-register because my email was the same on Facebook, but told me to use my existing account. I assumed it worked this way for everyone. You're certainly not going to be able to use your Facebook account for more than one registration.

Also would like to suggest you instead of asking users to connect to facebook is it not possible that which ever section you choose all the newly posted threads appear directly on news feed without prompting users to connect facebook?
