Yeah it reads correct in cat view all 0's , just the (We have a total of 3 files in 10 categories.) at the bottom is wrong.

A nice little CP controll to reset / re caulculate all downloads and files would be handy :smoke:

well maybe not something you want to mod now, but maybe for a later version (unless i am wrong and this feature is built in) but require posting, because i notice with my high google ranking i am getting tons of new members joining and dlin... but none postin :'(

another thing, i would love to see subcats of subcats, this would be useful, as well as an easier subcat/cat navigation in the admincp? :/

thats all i see - nothing else - also the boxes aint aligned up proper

me too, I get about a thousand+ users per week that register to download but dont post. i have a suggestion: add another user group and for users with more than three posts and allow them to download but dont allow the original user group access to the download section.

Ill just built it in to reduce the count on delete -- im glad you found this bug.

cheers m8 all tidy now - except is no stats so just ran the cron job and it still says

Today 0
Today 0
Yesterday 0

yet ive had quite a few downloads today and yesterday.Besides this though hacks works fine

Quick question, is there any way to set up permissions per category?

i.e.
Registered users have access to registered user downloads
Administrators have access to admin downloads

Can anyone point me in the direction of where the navigation menues are created to actually use this - i.e. upload files etc I have a custom Navbar so nothing appears.

Go into which ever usergroups you want access to the downloads and set permissions, then go to blah blah/forums/downloads.php.

You will see the options show up.

It would be good if users that can manage files were able to download non-approved files.
Now you have to approve it, then download, then disprove until you checked it :(.

Everything else works great.

Yet another problem: if you use bbcode in the file description, and then edit the description again, it is in HTML. If you save it again, the HTML isnt interpreted.

I never thought an admin would download it before approving... the system wasnt really built with that in mind. It was more of a "check to make sure its appropriate and in the right category" thing, but I guess I could enable that. It would be very easy.

Works for me, make sure you set it up properly (select `order` from the settings) and it will work swimmingly.

I'm not interested... i think its fine the way it is. I really dont want any more in the admincp than is already there.

Hi Ron1n,

I upgraded to thew new version v2.0c and then today I also upgraded to version 2.0f - but im having same issue.

on trying to upload the file - it does not show me the categories... so i cannot choose in which category should the new file go .. and therefore the upload fails.

I made a test category and even that new TEST category did not show up.

can u kindly help??

The category options are actually saved to a database, but they are used by the templates. This could be one of two things:

1) you arent using the right templates
2) your uploaded files are not the right ones

Cool hack. When I tried to upgrade, I get the following error when trying to upgrade the mysql:

Works for me, make sure you set it up properly (select `order` from the settings) and it will work swimmingly.

I think this was mentioned before howevr I didnt see an answer.

i have 4 main Categories and under each of these I have subcategories - now each subcategory shows the amount of files correctly - however on the Main Page where it shows the top level categories is shows "0 Files" which is technically correct as there are no files under the main categories only sub cats - however it would be great to either

1) Remove the File count from the main cat page

or even better

2) Add up the files under each sub cat and display this on the Main Cat page

Any ideas please Ronin

My download section is at http://www.physicianassistant.net/forums/downloads.php? After I download, everything seems to be ok. However, If I click on the catgory to view the files within it, I get a blank page. Any ideas on this? Thanks.

Figured it out....read another post. There is an extra space in dl_category after the final ?> that is causing this problem.

Yes same experience here, I actually changed the structure becuase of that. Be great if it totalled everything in that cat.

I installed this but I don't see any of the nav controls.
I have a heavilly modified forum so im not suprized.

Could someone help me out by posting the action links [urls] for this hack?
ex: download/ upload etc etc.

you are accessing the hack at http:/www.yoursite.com/yourforumdirectory/downloads.php ?

If you are and don't see any Nav check your group persmissions from the admincp. You need to grant access before you can do anything there.

Hi Supra - is your site Clanspy - i see you have implemented a change on the front end so that it shows cats/files - what did you change to do that ?

Look like your download paths are wrong in the settings

first one should be /home/lounge/public_html/forums/downloads/
second one ./downloads/

Ronin your mod seems to have some problem in istallation, I thank for your work it's fantastic.
For my forums I corrected some errors in downloadinstall.php
when create table you put in hack two times TABLE_PREFIX and it's wrong 4 my database, so I corrected and cut one.

Yes, but I am switching to this hack after updating all my downloads from the previously installed one. I prefer this release much more. :)
