Pretty much. All you have to do is click on the "use ucash" option in the Vbookie admin panel.

ONE QUESTION:

When i post a vbookie event then look at the page (showthread) I have 3 uncached templates:

vbookie_event_table (1)
vbookie_oddsbits (10)
vbookie_outcomebits (10)

How can i make it so these are cached as each one will be making and extra querie to the database.

Thanks

Thanx in advance.

PS Further to this, it works out that the events show for the amount of bets placed on it. eg If 6 bets have been placed on an event, the event will show up 6 times. :(

i have the same problem with them showing up more than once is thier a fix for this?

Open showthread.php and add them to the $globaltemplates array (commented as 'pre-cache templates used by all actions'). I think that's all you need to do.

I've moved on to other bits and pieces, so haven't made any recent updates. Feel free to fix anything you see that's wrong, and post the information here. If there's anything that's really serious, I'll do an update for it.

I think the problem is likely to be incorrect editing, rather than a problem. Only one other person has reported the same issue, and there have been at least 200 installations, plus more than aren't registered.

I recommend that you go through the hack instructions and verify that you did everything exactly as you should have.

HarryBO 12-12-2004 01:10 AM

Hi!

I have a little problem on my vbookie! I´ve installed that addon since 1 month! Sometimes it worked perfect & sometimes I can´t settle the events! In the Forum I can see the bookie, but in the vbookie it´s gone!

Any Idea what went wrong?

Celtic_Mad 12-12-2004 06:43 PM

How do I add vcash to someones username or edit a bet thats already over to tick more winning boxes?

docvader 12-14-2004 12:19 AM

Celtic, use this to add cash to people. It works fine, and is easy to install. However, you have to add each person's name individually, it would be nice to be able to "mass add" money to people, especially if you have a large foruml

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ighlight=gimme

One question of my own. I added an event during the setup, and not through a thread post, and now I can't seem to delete it. Or find it anywhere. Any ideas???

thanks. Awesome hack.

Is there a way to have a betting event like a parlay card? Where they have to get x number of bets right to win the points??

docvader 12-15-2004 08:11 PM

Well, this is a bit bizarre, and I don't know if it's related, nor where to look, but after I installed this betting thing into my Ushop (and it's working great; my members love it), I get this error when I, the admin, try to log into the ADMIN CP

Quote:

Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!
Get that on the first time, with the correct password; got to wait fifteen minutes to attempt it again; usually it's successful after the fifteen minute time period. I don't understand this, as, eventually, I can log in successfully.

Does anyone know what file must have been changed to screw up entry into the admin area?

Rabbitoh Warren 12-17-2004 11:43 PM

I recently had a vBookie event on a cricket match which was washed out without a ball being bowled, but stupid me incorrectly settled bets using the no outcome option instead of the abandon event option. I want to manually refund users who bet on the event their vCash. Can someone tell me what QUERY I would need to run to make this happen? The gimme thing above didn't work for me. Thanks.

Dio 12-27-2004 09:17 PM

Sadly this Hack is giving me all sorts of problems. I am willing to pay somebody to take my fresh files and add the vBookie code. If you are willing and able to do this, please send me a PM.

Dio 12-28-2004 09:38 PM

Good God! After two days of wrestling with this dude I got it installed with uCash. It turned out that I was missing a "," in my init.php file. :ermm: This is one heck of a Hack!

Thank you!

wcbryant 12-31-2004 09:23 PM

Has anyone written some basic php page where users could exchange reputation points for vCash? I get constant requests for this, and would love to have something that exchanged on a ratio I could set (even in the code).

Sooner95 01-08-2005 07:19 PM

is it possible for someone to post the SQL queries (DB Mods), so I can enter them in one at a time using myPhPadmin? seems I got a messy table somewhere...

Sooner95 01-08-2005 08:09 PM

nevermind.. figured it out, damn shoutbox LOL

Good work..

/me clicks install

bangthebook 01-09-2005 04:17 AM

Checkout my site and let me know if you see something wrong

I was just about to post the same question because I just installed and was stumped. Then it hit me.... you probably have to set permissions for members to post vbookie events so not evenyone can do it.

Go to usergroup manager and edit a usergroup... its about halfway down the boxes to allow to post vbookie events. Chea!

Thanks for the hack... and Ryan, your welcome

kisersose 01-09-2005 02:33 PM

hmm the "POST VBOOKIE EVENT" is not showing on new threads still. I thought that user permissions was enough, but no.

Can anyone tell me if I'm still missing something? and what I would need to correct/edit.

thanx

Hi,
I seem to be having the same problem that a few others have had, but cannot see a fix.

The install seems to have worked OK, but there is no option in the new thread screen to post a vbookie event. I have followed the instructions carefully and cannot see that I have missed anything. Can someone please help with this.

Cheers,

Richie

skinny 01-16-2005 12:17 PM

Make sure that you have given the usergroup permission to post a vBookie event and also, make sure that you have vBookie turned on via the CP. If you have gone through every step of the installation correctly, then it must be your settings. Also, make sure you're looking in the right place to post an event. When you click on new thread, you should see something like the following:

richiepearce 01-16-2005 02:01 PM

Thanks Skinny, it was the forum permissions that needed changing.

if your just using play cash you can manipulate anyones $$ amount simply by going into phpmyadmin and selecting there user #, there you will be able to add or subtract any amount of $$ you want. im not to sure about the others ucash and what not.
Hope this helps

What a great hack!!! Thank You soooo much!!

I have one really stupid question....my Install went fine...far as I can tell....But I do not see on a new thread where I choose to post a new vbookie event. I have the usergroups I want already premissioned right....I just cant see where I can post an event on a new thread.

Is that just a problem with the new thead style??

Any help would be greatly apprecieted.
Thanks

Look at the screenshot posted above. When you click on new thread, you'll see underneath the text box, an option to post a vBookie event. I've highlighted it in red. Make sure you tick this when posting a vBookie event.
