you need to edit your navbit template in the admincp and point your images to their absolute paths like i explained above. The links need to be updated in the footer template.

Also make sure that the referrals.php is grabing your global.php file correctly. To do this check the path in the referrals.php coding if you have moved the global.php file to a different location.

gspot 04-29-2005 12:46 AM

I know the number is changed yet to 2.4, but here is a preview of the next version to be released soon. :) If anyone has any other addons they would like included in this hack please let me know. WAITING TO HEAR FROM ALL OF YOU :)

womensden 04-29-2005 06:48 PM

ok, so I took out the "/" at the end of the link that I added to the bottom of my site and it worked. WTF? The first page was the only page that was screwed up.

I copied and pasted what was in the directions.

looking at your coding it seems that the header image for your website is trying to grab :

http://www.womensden.com/forums/refe...om/portal2.jpg

In which it should be getting:

http://www.womensden.com/forums/imag...om/portal2.jpg

This is why im lead to believe its not getting your global.php file or their is an error in your header & navbit templates.

Hmm, this is weird.

I've installed the hack following the instructions carefully. At first I got a blank page, so I skimmed through the thread and figured it was another problem. I switched to the default skin and lo and behold, the referrals page works. However, trying to view the page with any of the other skins installed, the page is blank.

I'm not sure what the problem is really =/ I always change the templates for all the skins at the same time when installing a hack.

I have researched this issue and the answer to your question is that 99% of hacks wont work under different skins unless they are setup as a child forum under the default. This is just the way vbulletin works :)

DJDarknez 05-11-2005 02:29 AM

installed and works good!

/me clickeys install

CrimsonGT 05-11-2005 06:24 AM

Would it be possible to set it up so I can tell how many referrals someone has have actually paid for the subscription? I have registered members and platinum members. It would be nice if I could tell how many referrals of theres are platinum (so I could offer like a 10% profit for each member they get to purchase an account)

Yes, this is already integrated. You need to find out what usergroupid the paid subscription is and set this up in the referral statistics configuration area, located in the admincp.

mcyates 06-02-2005 08:36 AM

I get this error when clicking on "save settings" in the Configure Referral Statistics on the Admincp

Yes, it obviously didn't add a table or something.

Everything's working well, but is there any way to replace the list of referrals with Homepage URL? I tried $userinfo[homepage] but it's not working.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

MorrisMcD 06-10-2005 12:59 AM

MrTchMan 06-14-2005 05:57 AM

When I am looking at the Referral statistics page and try to go to my AdminCP from the footer It goes to this
http://www.justsprint.com/forum/refe...ncp/index.php?

It puts the referrals.php in there

Any ideas

Sorry I am new to this

gspot 06-15-2005 02:31 AM

yes, you edited your footer incorrectly, check the instructions again and follow them step by step for editing your footer template.

Chris Etc 06-25-2005 08:21 AM

I've installed, uninstalled, and back all over again but I still have a blank page when I click on referral statistics in the admincp. I never saw any configuration option either though the referrals are showing up on my forums. Any idea why inside the admnincp I keep getting a blank page when clicking referral statistics?

MajorFm.com 06-27-2005 07:57 PM

one of my fav hacks...

...I would like to set this so that after a certain number of referral's, the users usergroup automatically changes to a chosen one by the admin... possible?

MustangLisa 07-08-2005 05:58 PM

Works perfectly, thanks! This is just what I was looking for!!

Chris Etc 07-10-2005 04:21 PM

Hey ho matey, excellent hack!
I have been waiting for this since 2.3.3 times... Didn't have time to write it myself tho. I think it would be cool if you make those stats public as well :)

gspot...great hack... I already clicked install...

But I have a question... I use the vBadvanced CMPS, and the footer link from there gives me a page not found error when I click the Referals Stats link...

What can I do to fix this?

*EDIT*
Never mind...I figured it out...
I had to hardcode the full url to the referals.php in the footer template.
Thanks anyway...still a great hack...:D

gspot 07-19-2005 06:14 AM

Marco van Herwaarden 07-19-2005 11:40 AM

PHP Code:

case 'referrals.php'
$userinfo['activity'] = 'referrals';
break;

You are missing a semi-colon at the end of the first line:
PHP Code:

case 'referrals.php':
$userinfo['activity'] = 'referrals';
break;

vakvak 07-19-2005 11:53 AM

MarcoH64 very thank you . but http://www.teknikzone.com/referrals.php page not ?

gspot 07-19-2005 01:36 PM
