Thanks for the fast reply. It would be awesome if the contribution bar could be a the top of the screen as well as have a module option that looks exactly like the sidebar you've already created for the forum.

I'll see what's possible. I've not used vBAdvanced for a while so I don't know what's possible... :)

Matt

ozzy47 12-05-2014 09:28 AM

The vBAdvanced module is pro only feature. :)

This happened after the update yesterday? What version were you running before?

I should've been more precise, i meant a javascript included simply through the header.
We only added that AFTER updating to 1.4.8 - though the bug exists, I don't know if its new or not as I won't downgrade to the insecure version which had the XSS vulnerability.

What issues are you having? If you can provide some links/images/details I'll see what we can do about it. :)

Matt

Sorry for not saying what kind of script: It's a Javascript and therefore didn't break anything.

As soon as VBdonate is running, the script doesn't work any longer.
It's working on all other pages, where vbdonate is not running.
As soon as I deactivate vbdonate, it works as intended, too.

You can see an example after registring on censored
The snowflakes are gone, where vbdonate is running.
Please fix the problem.

Thanks

So does that mean everything is already coded and working for vbadvanced? DBTech didn't seem to know about this which seems odd.

Can you two elaborate please?

darkdiver 12-07-2014 11:22 AM

sorry for this question, is it working on 4.2.2 pl2 ?

ozzy47 12-07-2014 11:24 AM

Yes it very well should work on that version. :)

Barbecue_Eater 12-07-2014 11:34 AM

It works on 4.2.2 pl2, absolutely.

Except the javascript bug everything works wonderfully.

dknelson 12-07-2014 12:08 PM

Working fine on 4.2.3

RainSama 12-08-2014 06:44 PM

Hi,

Using 4.2.2 PL 2, and when I click on the contribute button in the navbar it doesn't go onto the donation page, it stays on the index page.

ozzy47 12-08-2014 09:30 PM

Perhaps check in the Navigation Manager and see what is set in the settings.

Nelson58 12-09-2014 11:27 AM

This modification is no longer automatically confirming donations. It has to be done manually. Is there a setting that I missed?

ozzy47 12-09-2014 11:39 AM

Automatic confirming of the donations is a pro only feature. If you have the pro version, you need to ask about that in their site in the pro support forum for the mod.

There was a thread in that forum that will tell you a few things to check to ensure you are getting the right info returned fro PayPal. :)

silent-gamer 01-01-2015 04:08 PM

I can't change "Set Countdown Date" to 2015 now lol

ozzy47 01-01-2015 04:12 PM

Grab the files from their site, http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/demo/185-vbdonate/ and do a upgrade, I think they patched the files there to go into 2015

Not a problem, glad to help. :)

I asked, and you answered on behalf of DBTech (conflict of interest here?)

I then tried to implement your answer and got stuck, and asked a followup, which was never answered.

There are apparently settings in PayPal that need to be inserted for this to work, and even so, it isn't auto confirming. Can anyone else help?

Thanks.

Paul M 01-13-2015 11:18 AM

Support for pro features must be asked for on the correct site, this is for the free version only.

Waited 7 days for an answer, but ok....

Chris also answers questions there too, so I thought perhaps he could help.

Sorry!

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Can you explain in a bit more detail?

What is your problem? The reference to the old systems or something else?

I'll release a patch that will extend that. :)

I've taken a look at this proble. I think the issue is purely down to running two headerblocks, one inside the other. I wasn't the original coder for the mod, so I'm not certain why it was done that way.

However, what I'd suggest is adding a margin-left CSS to the dbtech_vbdonate_block.css template. It can't really be done by us at the moment, and I've a revamp of the styling planned for the new year that should remove the problem permanently. If you set a minus figure (like -5px) to the margin-left that might move it inline with the above header.

Matt

Any update on a patch release to fix the, about to expire, donation goal dates which only run to the end on 2016. After that we wont be able to set new donation goal dates.

Akelorian 12-21-2016 03:29 AM

I have a paid vers of this mod love it to bits the only problem is I can't update it anymore as my sub has run out and the goal dates stop in 2015, anyway that I can fix this without haveing to pay again?

Unfortunately expired Pro versions do not receive any more updates. It's not feasible for us to back-port updates to every single legacy version.

Sorry I couldn't bring better news :(

be nice to have a mod like this but instead of paypal it would be bitcoin.

RSprinkel 05-07-2017 12:56 PM

I like this mod, however one problem I am facing is when people donate using the mod from my homepage the donations go on hold from PayPal as if it was an item being purchased from my site. The only way to release the funds is by logging into PayPal and setting the donation item as shipped. I am not sure if this is a PayPal issue or mod issue.

Any suggestions on this issue is greatly appreciated.

Tipmoose 07-23-2017 03:33 AM

So far this mod looks very close to what I need to set up donations on my site. There are two things I am worried about.

1) Ive installed the mod and set up paypal sandbox testing. Everything is working okay except that the donating accts are not added to the proper secondary user group after being confirmed. Their user title isn't changing either. The donation is moved to the confirmed section though.

2) I am unable to hide the Contribution Actions menu on the Navbar Submenu. I've set that setting to No in the Control Panel, but it still shows up. I'm trying to do testing now and don't want users actually trying to donate until Ive got the bugs worked out.

Am I missing something here?

Is it possible to integrate with other payment processors?

furnival 06-28-2018 12:39 PM

This needs Bitcoin support! There are many threads in the "requests for paid services" part of vb.org requesting this, so the market demand is certainly there. Thanks for considering this idea.

You are late, crypto coins are in decline and many trading service are removing them from accepting payment methods.
