vBNavTabs v1.3.2

New Features:
  • If a navbar tab uses the "tab ID" feature, the tab ID is now also appended to all subnav links, preserving navigation tab state

You'll need to customise the dbtech_vbnavtabs_navbar template with the same skin customisations your skin has applied to the navbar template :)

Could you please post Pro support questions in our Pro support forum? vB.org policy does not permit us to discuss the Pro version here, sorry :(

That doesn't change anything unfortunately, but regardless it's not possible to import navigation manager entries as far as I'm aware.

I'm curious about existing original vB Forum tab. Is it compatible or create same again.

I had this working before on my old website but now under 4.2 it appears that NONE of the navigation screens open in the admin menu. I only get the basic settings. How do I get around that?

Only screen I get is the general settings for this in the admin panel.

This is working as intended. The vB4.2 version of this modification integrates into the Navigation Manager, not in a separate menu.

That just it, I do not see anything different from the original vanilla navbar manager. None of the screens in your screenshots are appearing and no links to them.

Here's some of the features in play in the vB 4.2 version: https://i.imgur.com/nIQ5cEh.png

If you are not seeing this, please make sure you have uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the "vB 4.2 Only" version.

I have uninstalled the script several times and reinstalled it with same results.

Right now the permissions is the big issue. I tried to assign permissions so that only logged in and registered members and higher can see my Chatrooms link on the navbar, but only way it worked is if I removed all the permissions on that menu item. Not good. Still trying to trouble shoot.

And no, all I am seeing is the default navigation manager in the ACP. What I don't see is the stuff at the bottom that identifies it as your script, but similar layout.

I also want the submenus to appear in the submenu bar like it does when you click on Forum. I also have problems when I make the Arcade the default which is what I really want. Navigation is skewered when I make anything other than Forum as default. It really should not be this hard to change the defaults especially.

dmm2020 10-25-2016 02:07 AM

If you check your ticket for vbArcade that I submitted and you recently fixed for the pro version you have access to my admin panel still and can look and see. If you wish, I can email the info to you again.

dmm2020 10-25-2016 10:47 PM

I stand corrected. I turned it off and on to see if there was a difference. Been so long I forgot what default vanilla navmanager looked like.

However, the permissions are not working at my end. I want to block guests from seeing certain links and when I click the checkboxes for members in certain groups to be blocked from seeing a link, only I can see that link as admin.

dmm2020 10-25-2016 11:00 PM

Here is what I discovered. I had users who had not verified their email addresses as not able to the Chatroom link. The 4 people I asked to test my chatrooms had not went through the email verification yet. I am going to add the email verification mod to force that before registration can be completed.

Having said that, I owe you one. This mod seems to in fact work as designed. Just differences in the post images compared to what I saw was confusing.

Suggested Improvements:
1) We need to be able to edit the Product ID field. By default when we add new custom menu items it is showing vBulletin as the product ID which is not true. I would recommend a dropdown that selects from a list if installed and active products. It should still default back to vBulletin.
2) Submenu items should appear in the lower menu bar same as it does when you click on forums. Right now it is not doing that at friends-arcade.com. (Is this in the pro Version?)

I am planning on eventually buying the pro version but thought I would suggest these.
