The plugin is not working for me, installed everything and configured as shown. I can not log into the vbulletin forums with my wordpress account. When I view the users in Vbulletin it just shows the 1 admin account, I can however log in to Wordpress with any of the accounts including the 1 vbulletin user.

Hi S S0DEN, please keep in mind that you correctly using vBSSO. Keep in mind that it was originally designed to log in to WordPress and other CMS via vBulletin account. It wasn't designed the way you are using it.

Hi fishmaster, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. You are free to test them both out on some of your testing servers.

Thank you,

Yes, we have multiple platforms waiting to be connected at the beginning of 2013. One of them is prestashop.

Been watching this tread as I have a purpose for it,..

But this sounds like an htaccess issue?

Does the new drupal use htaccess and has had changes?

404 is quite a defining error ya know.

rwoscott 01-10-2013 08:48 AM

I've recently upgrade my Vbulletin, and mediawiki, and today have install the 2 parts of vbsso for vb and mediawiki.

I'm getting a blank page in the VB admincp on 3 pages.
- Connect a platform
- connection settings
- Access settings.

All the others show up fine.
I've restarted apache, just in case.

Versions:
vbulletin 4.2.0(pl3)
mediawiki 1,20.2
PHP Version 5.3.2-1ubuntu4
curl 7.19.7
mcrypt 2.5.8

aag321 01-10-2013 09:42 PM

Change log for Drupal states:

- Made the default .htaccess rules protocol sensitive to improve security for
sites which use HTTPS and redirect between "www" and non-"www" versions of
the page.

will double check and see if theres anything obvious changed.

It sounds like an .htaccess issue. The file wasn't changed between the versions, however you might add custom rules there.

Hi rwoscott, it sounds like you have a custom name for your admincp panel and probably have .htaccess file with a RewriteCond and RewriteRule managing the rules improperly. Could you please verify this on your side and see if that might be your reason?

I just deleted some old files laying around from previous plugins, and when I returned to admincp, the pages are now available.
Thanks for your response.

Plugin is working as described now!!

Could you please name that plugins to let visitors know, cleanup and resolve the similar issues if somebody gets it in future?

Hi sweetpotato, by default WordPress doesn't accept usernames in Vietnamese language. If you have a lot of such usernames in vBulletin we would recommend you to hire a developer to customize vBSSO WordPress plugin based on your needs or contact vbsso support and order the customization.

Yes, clear, we have added the task to our tasks list.

GeorgeB85 01-16-2013 03:39 PM

I have this installed on vbulletin and wordpress. Wordpress is accepting what I am telling it, but vbulletin is not! I am using the URL vbulletin gives me with the API key, and this is what I get told in return:
Quote:

Unable to verify platform [http://forums.recyclingbootcamp.com/vbsso/vbsso.php] Please analyze log files located at `/home/georgelb/public_html/recyclingbootcamp.com/forums/vbsso/logs/` to detect the cause of the issue.
I have even tried using the URL from wordpress, and nothing!

Also, when I try and logout of wordpress, or sign in using the login in the black bar above the site, I get this error:
Quote:

You don't have permission to access /vbsso/vbsso.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It sounds great it started working for you. We will check the process in case when 'Allowed Usergroups' field is specified.

Also, as I found out tonight, if anyone clicks on "register" on my forum, all the browsers keep telling them that the page is redirecting in a way that will never complete.

AnthonyTang 01-16-2013 10:59 PM

I have a question about this plugin. Would I be able to use it on other platforms instead of the ones already provided such as WordPress or MediaWiki? I'm asking because I've coded my own custom portal/homepage that isn't on any of those platforms listed, but simply a php file with some HTML content inside. Would I able to just simply enter some of the code in for the form/submit area of my login and use that?

Hi GeorgeB85, It looks like you or your hosting provider has a RewriteRule which blocks url addresses containing http word. It's easy to check, once you click on the register link, it shows your the error. Remove http word from address panel, click on enter again and it is successfully proceeded. Once you solve this on your side it should be working for you smoothly :)

Hi AnthonyTang, yes, this is actually possible, vBSSO has API. Once you need it, please contact vBSSO support team and ask for this.

I apologize, as I am slightly confused, but what your saying is to open up the .httaccess file, and remove all web urls that contain http in them? Or is there just one in particular?

EDIT: I went to the site, and I didn't see any http in the url, and when I click on "Register" it just says:

I wanted to say that your hosting in their server configuration or you have RewriteRule in .htaccess which blocks urls with 'http' word passed in params. You should contact your hosting to let them resolve that issue for you.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Do you remember if you saw it on recyclingbootcamp.com, or on forums.recyclingbootcamp.com when you tested it?
