Hi, I installed this chat, then it broke my forum. So I tried to uninstall it, but I get an SQL error

MySQL Error : Table 'upperseo_fffvb.iwt_chat_updatestream' doesn't exist

And no matter how much I try to import the xml again to overwrite, it never creates this table. So I can neither install or uninstall it.

This Addon for 3.8.7 ???

Eeeh <.< I just installed this addon and it killed my forum... I throws me Database Error and I dont know what to do

I recently installed this mod and our users like it very much. We have found, however, that it causes our VBulletin v4.2 forums to freeze for those who use IE9 (Windows 7). There are no reported issues with Chrome or Firefox. I disabled every mod on our site other than Ideal Chat Lite, and the issue still exists - and there is no issue when Ideal Chat Lite is disabled.

Anyone else experience a similar issue? Any work around known for this?

As I stated, our members enjoy the chat program.. far better than the typical plan AJAX chat, but we cannot run it right now due to this conflict.. Help!

Its a great Idea .. but no support or updates since the first person stated the problems and issues with server load and errors... :(

This mod needs to be removed from vbulletin.org. No support, locks up the forums and a major pain in the ass to repair the forum. Page upon page of people having issues and the creator is not helping resolve them.

like others have pointed out - this mod has issues. it was giving 503 errors on godaddy and we thought it was a capacity issue with users, so we moved to hostgator. soon, we got different errors indicating the same thing. hostgator pinned it to idealchat inside of a minute and said it was killing us on our 25 process limit cause it queries the server ALL THE TIME.

turned it off and will yank it later.

far too many queries being done. my "guess" would be so it can update who's online for you to chat with, but this breaks several providers rules for queries and makes the mod useless.

Is there a demo of your pro version? I looked on Extreme Games (as you'd referenced it earlier) and could not find any sort of chat.

Brought the (shared) server to it's knees and had to break the chat script by deleting the executable through FTP as we could not get into the ACP. Uninstalled.

Google Comet Chat, well worth the money. I use it on two sites on share hosting without issue.

One of my clients had that years ago and at that time it did hog some major resources when the chat was very busy. That was 3 years ago or so though so I am sure it is more efficient now. It wasn't bad though constantly. Just when the chat really got packed.

I think either of these would be fine on a decent dedicated server.
