I have a problem - Currently installed the Advanced Applications mod, which I'm excited to try out - but I can't seem to edit any of the settings, period.

vBulletion 4.2.0.

And yes, I've done: "vB 4.2 Community Menu Update"

This is my first install, I made sure all files went to the appropriate folders and directories.. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

If it helps any further, I did change my forum.php to index.php (Did that change anything?)

I've never seen that error at all...

When exactly do you get that errror? What are you clicking on in the ACP?

500 errors are usually actual server configuration errors not related to vB or any mod in vB.

I'll see what I can do.. I might need to play with my permissions a tad, I suppose..

Love this!
But Not sure why, any inputs submitted in the Multi-line boxes are not being received. It just comes back blank, while the others like Single-line, dropdown, and so forth work fine. Due to this when multi-line is used, it also sometimes causes the answers to not match up with the question it was submitted for.

Any ideas?

CoZmicShReddeR 02-23-2013 10:13 AM

nhawk, Is there anyway you can also make it for the questions to support HTML image tags? It allows it but in the admin area I get this...

Thanks!:)

I can't duplicate this at all.

I've tried a multiline text box both with an without text entered and it always supplies the answer like it should.

This is just a suggestion that might be the problem..

Make sure your questions are in order from 1 to the last question number with no gaps in the numbers (1,2,3,4,5 - not 1,2,4,5,6)

Change your image and link code so it uses single quotes ' not double quotes ".

It's already there in Settings and Application Types.

Nirjonadda 02-23-2013 12:07 PM

OK ! I Will install But Waiting For your respond for PM on your site !

SpikeSaunders 02-23-2013 12:59 PM

Hey nhawk, glad you are still around supporting this (see it on vb5 now too which is awesome) .

You were right. I somehow lost order #7, after adding a new question and changing it to #3 (which made 3 be 4 and so forth)... okay, lol.

That fixed it though. No idea how I lost #7 since i didn't delete any, lol. Nor how it was causing three to not send, but don't care. It works as needed!
Thanks man!~

Nirjonadda 02-23-2013 01:54 PM

Please can you add option Registration length ( Minimum Registration Length to Submit an Application)

ggrimes620 02-25-2013 01:02 AM

Installed and working perfectly.

Thanks!

I won't do this.

This can be done using the usergroup promotion system that is built in to vB. Then only allow users in the proper usergroup to fill out applications.

NoMatt3r 03-21-2013 07:08 PM

Fantastic addon!

I was wondering if you could add the possibility to attach files in applications, to choose as answer type a date and to be able to preview the application before submitting?

Thank you!

File attachments are on the wish list. It will eventually be done.

The date input field is HTML5 and very few browsers support the date field so far. I won't add that until HTML5 is fully adopted by Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Isn't previewing the application a bit redundant? I mean the answers are right in front of the person before they click submit aren't they? ;)

I love this add-on/modification. There is one thing which you could specify;

* How to change the appearance of the application in thread.
What I mean by this is; I would love to change the font sizes and layout of the thread when the application goes to the thread section submitted. I see you can change to orange color.
I need more configurations, because I don't want to go ahead and mess around with this add-on just to change the layout and after it will have buggs.

Please help ^^

Exactly how would you want the layout formatted? I mean, it's a question/answer situation so there aren't many options for a layout.

greenpk2 04-07-2013 01:28 PM

When you open advanced "thread" editor. I would like to have the layout like this;
* allign = centered
* questions = size 4
* answers = size 2
* font style = arial black
* 2 spaces between the answer and next question.
* new line for answer after question.
* questions = light gray color
* answer = orange color

Here is an example :)
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

Hope it is possible to do this :) Really appriciated. ^^

greenpk2 04-13-2013 04:45 PM

There is one more thing :)

When someone posted an application and it went in the section i wanted to.
The application seemed to be submitted by my account...

Why didn't the applicant's profile show up?

Go to ACP->Application Forms->Application Positions.

Edit the position and set the Poster ID to 0 (zero).

I've put it on the wish list.

It will be added eventually, but there is no set time period for these kind of additions.

I'm not near my programming computer. I'll check into this on Monday.

In the meantime, you could check the questions for all of your applications. Make sure they are ordered 1,2,3,4,5, etc. NOT 1,2,3,5,6, etc. You can't skip a number in the question order.

I was unable to duplicate the error. So, I am guessing there is a question ordering number problem.

Today's release should eliminate that from now on. Update to the latest version, and then edit/save all of your questions sets. That will correct any missing numbers from the question order.

Actually we have just resolved the issue, using version 1.3.3 we simply deleted the old forum and recreated it that fixed the problem.

however i shall update again and follow the instructions given so were once again running the most up to date version xD

thanx!

This mod works great with 4.2.0 Patch Level 3.

Great to see the author supporting his product and keeping us all up to date. Thanks nhawk!

McGyver 04-30-2013 03:58 PM

v1.3.5 with flood control and input validation rocks!

McGyver 05-02-2013 03:08 AM

It just keeps getting better and better :).

Thank you nhawk!

File uploads are now possible with today's release.

ggrimes620 05-03-2013 04:13 PM

How you continue to make this product better is beyond me. Great work yet again, nhawk!

Works perfect on 4.2.0 Patch Level 3.

nhawk 05-03-2013 05:12 PM

It's all fueled by user suggestions. And to be perfectly honest by a few members of my site that occasionally make a donation, which re-fuels my interest in taking certain mods to a new level.

FYI... this mod also works in vB 4.2.1 which is now the version being used for development of my vB4 mods.

ggrimes620 05-04-2013 08:49 PM

I just upgraded my vB to 4.2.1 today and everything still works great. :)

Any chance that you have renamed your admincp directory?

Make sure you upload the CONTENTS of the upload folder. Not the folder itself.

That wouldn't do it, the install xml file picks up the admincp directory name automatically.

joeychgo 05-11-2013 12:24 PM

How about a screenshot of how the application data gets displayed, and where
