Hello this looks like a great mod but i have tried to install it on 4.1.2 and there is no errors but the olny problem i have is in the forum manager and at the bottom i should be able to select the icons i uploaded. i was very careful and i did add the folder in the images and double check everything but still am not able to select any icons. thanks if anybody could give me a hint i saw a posting it worked on 4.1.1

found the problem, thanks the problem was the guy at the keyboard nothing to see here move along,, works with 4.1.2 great mod : )

I can't remember if I asked in this thread but it's something I'm still after.

I want to use custom icons like this mod allows you too for sponsors logos. But I want them to be clickable to the sponsors website. Is this doable?

And does this work on 4.1.4?

I have installed forum category icon hack and I love it but I have a problem with other hack that disables this. The other hack that disables forum category icon is subforum list control. With the Subforum list control disabled:

All personalized icon are disabled with Subforum list control. I ask for help in the Subforum list control post but the creator don't give a solution, why this happen?

One question, is there a way instead of using transparency for new threads to add another icon style instead?
Ex, no new post, icon is regular PNG and when a newthread is posted, then a GIF animated icon shows.

None the less, your hack works fine in 4.1.4 and my 4.1.3 :)

Love the mod but it is only showing the icons form admins normal users can not see the icons???? i see no where in the mod where it even checks the user groups but i tested it and normal users see default icons and admins see the rely cool ones???? any thoughts.

I have tryed:
Reintalling
Doing the template mods by hand it showed the pics but all the forum description were dubbed and the only way i could fix that is removing them again.

Permissions aren't set. Just go into usergroups once and it will set the permissions, nothing more to do.

What was the issue?

A lot of people have been pm'ing me with requests for customization and additions to this mod. I appreciate the requests and offers for donations but I am having some real life issues that take a front burner right now. I lost my job, about ready to lose my home and although it may seem I would have the time I need to try to get my life back on track.

Once everything is back up to speed I will come back with some changes and additions and as always would love the donations. I will provide this update, version 2.0.0 which adds a few additions but you will have to find them and post back if you like the changes.

Note: Please hold off on the PM's until I can get back into the swing. Boofo and a few others have been very helpful on this mod and most answers are already posted here. This mod is very, very easy to install, just read the instructions I supplied and you won't have any problems.

Somehow the templates got messed up, but I'm pretty sure this hack was not at fault. :) All is well!

That phrase is not used in this mod. When you upgraded to 2.0.0 did you select "Allow Overwrite"?

Looks good, but how do you get forum categories to show a custom icon as I set in the forum manager settings? If a forum is a category it shows the default vb icons instead of what I set it to.

Hello i did a new vb install 1.1.5 patch, but the problem i am getting is the image path is not working (forumicons) so in the forums i have the place to select but i don't get any icons that i loaded and i checked everything even the size, it is good, Hummmm
