Hello Paul, can you help me with this issue.
Only in IE10 its center the text, not in FF, Opera, Chrome and Safari.

When I login with the Facebook button, it stay good on the right side.

It wasn't notifying me on new reputation in 4.2.2, I installed the older version, now it is. I'm not sure why the notify wasn't working since it is supposed to be included in 4.2.2...

I have the problem that the counter (number) of unread messages isn't displayed anymore. The text is still visible and the link works, but no number of unread messages is visible.
In the phrase "$vbphrase[dup_unread_posts]" the text is You Have <a href="{1}search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_ Post">Unread Posts</a>"

When there are no unread messages, it's still the same message instead of "$vbphrase[dup_no_posts]" /"You Have No <a href="{1}search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_ Post">Unread Posts</a>")

Is anyone running this on 4.2.3? I'm planning to upgrade tonight but do NOT want to lose the use of this fabulous mod that I've been using for years on several sites, members absolutely love it and claim they can't live without it.

Ugh. I upgraded to 4.2.3 this morning. and the mod is behaving weirdly.
I'm going to try uninstalling and then re-installing to see if that fixes issue.
(it will show there are x# of unreads until you click the 'unread' link, then the 'search' loads with no unreads...)

Also the built in 'get new posts' isn't working either (goes to ask about that at vb.com)

No response at vB.com (not surprising).
Anyone have any idea on how to make this unread posts mod work on 4.2.3?
The NUMBER of unread posts shows as does the link to click but when you click 'unread' it goes to the now unread posts message and the number of unreads disappears
it's been doing this since I upgraded to 4.2.3
I uninstalled, cleared system cache, re-downloaded from the link and reinstalled, went to options to set forums to exclude, clicked 'save', then cleared system cache again. It's still behaving as I described.
I'll be glad to send an admin i.d. and password via pm if necessary and can also provide ftp info.

Nothing has changed in 4.2.3 that would affect this, its working fine on my test 423.

Any ideas? Do i need to 'rebuild' something maybe in the maintenance section of admincp? Today's Posts works, but 'new posts' doesn't work either... which I'm assuming 'unreads' sorta works off of. Haven't been able to get any help at vb.com on the 'new posts' issue

Sadly yes, if you move to vB5, you will lose a lot of functionality, both core and mods.

Just in case you were wondering, I will not be porting this (or any of my mods) to vB5.
Its simply not worth the effort to me - and indeed, in many cases simply not possible anyway.

Strange it works for the default VB template but not in my template.

Is it possible to get this great mot in another place in the header or just for a test and if it work there

works perfect with the lasters vb4.2.3

For those asking about why the unread post link, it not linked, on a template with a custom header...well...IDK why.

BUT, this is the fix I used, specifically on the Seasmus template. I turned the last visit date off in the acp>options>unread posts options

Float your toplinks to the left in vbulletin-chrome.css

What SQL query could I use to pull this information from tables?

Doesn't have to be neat, I was hoping to display a list of users with how many unread posts each have.

Look in your "Phrase Manager" for the phrase "dup_x_unread_posts" and replace the first parameter {1} with:
