I understand your point. I was hopeful someone keeps a backup of installed mods and maybe had the file I need.

Yeah, it's been years since I was on here and am starting to get into the groove of how things operate. Thanks for looking at the situation, though.

You have to do the template edits manually. iTrader is located at iTrader.php.

Has anyone had this working on v3.6.9?

No expected date. Just whenever it's finished.

I don't suppose anyone has all the old v2.01 files?
As you cannot download them any longer.

bigcurt 01-09-2009 05:20 PM

Jason, will you please re-upload the files that work for 3.6 - I do not plan on updating to 3.7/8 soon.

DarkFormula 01-09-2009 05:40 PM

And how about that upgrade script for the 20th time.

Hey DJ.....Update.....

My ratings changed. If you do trades regularly with the same person and you continually rate each other, they won't change. Once you get other ratings from other users then it changes.

Looks like I've been fine all along. I've just done too many trades with the same person LOL

MisterLaO 01-10-2009 10:22 AM

You can't see it? You mean there's nothing at itrader.php or your template edits are gone? Remember you have to redo your template edits when you upgrade.

Chedy 01-10-2009 03:57 PM

I previously had version 3.6.8 for vBulletin and iTrader 2.0.1. I had vBulletin upgraded to 3.8.0 and then started following the upgrade instructions for iTrader 2.1.0.

I uploaded the files and disabled iTrader then performed a new addon and pointing at the new XML file and selecting overwrite. iTrader was listed as Offline though even with everythng set correctly, including permissions

EDIT - ALL WORKING!!!

I went into debug mode as Jason mentioned on Page 1. I then edited the version number on the first page from "2" to "2.0.1" and hit save. iTrader went from saying offline to working.

Thanks

yousellstuff 01-10-2009 09:01 PM

when is the final version going to come out?

I answered you the last time you asked. ;)

yousellstuff 01-11-2009 03:58 PM

very sorry i completely forgot i asked. thanks again

Do you think it would be more the 3 months? If so i will just download this one. If it is gonna be soon then i will wait for the full version to come out first

Digital Jedi 01-11-2009 11:26 PM

I think it could be anything at this point. Jason has stated in previous threads that he kind of works on this when and if he has the time. It's one of those things where you know it will get done, but a million things could put it off till later.

That said, the only genuine bug I've run into in this version is the closed iTrader problem, which is pretty easy to fix. Everything else reported has either been user error or something specific to certain forums.

After installation it says it's closed when it's set to open. There's a fix on the first page that takes care of that problem

graham_w 01-12-2009 01:29 AM

I've just upgraded to VB 3.8.0 without drama or problems with itrader. Just had to readd my template changes but otherwise all good :)

WinnipegHeights 01-12-2009 01:42 AM

If anyone needs help migrating from 1.0.2 (3.0.x) to 2.1.0 (3.5+).. Let me know! The script to migrate your old ratings over is very simple, and I can provide it to you if you'd like..

Jason, I've got iTrader 2.0.1a installed on one of my forums and when strict URL checking is enabled, the system won't allow a moderator to modify any member ratings (they are not one of the members who started the referenced trade thread). The itrader_checkurl() function is always returning an invalid URL.

I checked the current 2.1.0 release and the function code did not change, so I assume the problem remains with the current version.

Any idea how I could modify the function so that moderators (super mods/admins) can modify ratings?

Is anyone else having this problem???

gamerzhope 01-12-2009 10:05 PM

All the detail and instruction is in the download package. Read the readme, it's all there what templates to edit.

gamerzhope 01-12-2009 10:19 PM

thanks i see that.. it shows this:

Code:

Two fields are added to the "user" table to facilitate rating usage pretty much anywhere you please within the forum. The two fields are:

    * itrader_total - iTrader Score (stored as an integer)
    * itrader_pcnt - Percent Positive Feedback (also stored as an integer)

Most likely you will want to add the score info to the postbit and/or postbit_legacy template(s),  MEMBERINFO, and memberlist_resultsbit template. Actual placement and style is entirely up to you, however here's a sample to get you started. Note that the MEMBERINFO & memberlist_resultsbit templates won't need the conditional around the text since you can't view a "guest" in those cases.

<if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

Additionally it would be wise to have some sort of link that is easily accessible to your members so they can view their own ratings. My suggestion would be to add some code in the navbar or usercp menu somewhere. If no userid is specified then the system defaults to the user's own iTrader page.

so in the templates.. postbit, postbit legacy, MemberInfo, and memberlist_resultsbit templates.. i just add this condition <if condition="$post['userid']"><div>iTrader: (<b><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></b>)</div></if>

at the end of each template?

im just double checking for i mess up badly like i did in the past with other mods :S

thanks

acorndomains.co 01-12-2009 10:19 PM

There are no upgrade instructions in the readme file, do I just overwrite everything?

Yes, just take your time and do one at a time. Always check your edits one at a time. Never do all at once. Make sure one works then move on to the next.

And for safe measure, I always copy the entire template contents and paste it into a notepad as a backup before I do any edits. This way if I do mess up and can't figure it out I don't have to revert and lose all my other template customizations.

gamerzhope 01-12-2009 10:42 PM

thanks :) i was able to figure it out and get it to show

Digital Jedi 01-12-2009 11:20 PM

Yes, just do an upgrade as you normally would with a product. Overwrite the files on your server and import the product Allow Overwrite set to Yes.

DarkFormula 01-12-2009 11:36 PM

Where did you add your script for iTrader links in MEMBERINFO, member_list, and NAVBAR? Thanks.

No place in particular, just wherever you want them to appear.

paintballer.ie 01-13-2009 06:50 PM

So with a fresh copy of 3.8 this works ok?

Emunator 01-14-2009 11:01 AM

Is it possible to have the url automaticly filled using a button in the allowed trade channels ?

Trana 01-16-2009 03:08 AM

Does anyone have suggestions for how to modify this hack to use the new Ebay policy which only allows the buyers to rate the sellers?

Thanks!

What...?!? When was that announced!

(sellers can still rate buyers! They just can't rate buyers negatively...!)

Trana 01-16-2009 07:32 PM

Oh, I guess that is what I meant. Sorry.

Any ideas how to get that logic into this hack?

Stubbed 01-17-2009 09:43 PM

Just a small issue..

I use vBSEO. I had iTrader all working fine on vb3.7, I did an upgrade to vb3.7.2, and the deal thread url wouldn't work. No big deal, I just disabled that feature. Upgraded to vB3.8 this morning and I had to do the version fix and it was all good.

I just tested the Deal Thread URL thing again, and it's still not working. All that appears to happen however, is when I put in a SEO thread, ie, http://site.com/forum/theforum/86163-the-topic.html, and hit submit, what comes back is the proper default URL, minus the http://site.com/forum/, ie, /showthread.php?t=82473. I'm assuming that iTrader doesn't like that url, and needs the full URL.

I'm not quite sure where to look to make any adjustments, but surely that would be a minor one? And ideas from anyone?

luket79 01-17-2009 10:30 PM

Works just fine for me on 3.8, upgraded from 3.7. Works right out of the box...

Thanks

Alfa1 01-19-2009 01:45 PM

This would be ideal to rate coders and clients.
