dbigras: Not sure but its possible that if you are using nmaps outside of your forum directory that you didn't update the nmaps_config.php file with the correct path to your forum.

Virulent1: You have to remove the files and uninstall the product from your product page.

bebeko: BBCode has never stopped working, it might not work now because of the various errors caused by the install but trust me, it still works.

bago200: Read my response to Virulent1, PLEASE DO NOT repost the same question another person has already asked.

No, I'm not running it outside the forum directory. But if I try to add a path to the config file, there's no change. Same behavior.

As I said, others things are working. I can manage settings, manage categories, but cannot manage modules.

I fixed the permission issue. I guess I'm still a bit new with Vbulletin and didn't know I had to modify the user permissions to access this module. Maybe I missed it in your installation notes.

i get this when i try opening in admincp Warning: require_once(/includes/adminfunctions_template.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/admincp/nmaps.php on line 22

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/includes/adminfunctions_template.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/night/public_html/admincp/nmaps.php on line 22

solution24: Read #6 of my faq in the release post of this thread.

dbigras: The problem isn't from the mod itself its a connection issue but I find it odd that you can still do other things with the system but you can't connect for managing the modules. Put the nmaps_config.php back to how it was, and I will check on the errors for those lines to see what the issue is. Go to the manage modules page, when the error appears, tell me if it gives you any specific code from those lines or just gives the error.

The config file is back to its original version, with nothing in the DIR variable.

The error is the same:

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Access denied for user 'user'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in [path]/admincp/nmaps.php on line 229

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in [path]/admincp/nmaps.php on line 229

Warning: mysql_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/admincp/nmaps.php on line 230

It's not picking up the global.php, because my database user is not 'user', it's something else, but it's showing me my 'user' account for some reasons, but just that function, other functions of admincp/nmaps.php are working well.

Hi,

I recently installed nmaps and seems like everything installed fine.

The problem I am having is when I access the nmaps.php page and try to ADD STORY or choose a CATEGORY, the url in the address bar changes but the page just refreshes.

I cannot do anything. I did a fresh install as well

I have assigned permissions to the admins and gave myself cheif reporter status but I cant do anything else.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks for your help!

Screenshot provided for you, the screenshot is sappy due to me using my laptop and not a desktop. I will also release the fix version regarding the titles.

EDIT: Red square is where the inactive modules box should show up for you.

Steve, disabled modules aren't shown at the top by me, i reinstalled and reupload everything, no solution.

Hi Steve,

Any ideas?

I'm stuck.

Mythotical 08-05-2008 04:49 PM

Ok right now I have removed the zip file until I release the new version in 3 days and 12 hours. All of the bugs reported thus far I will have fixed with the new version. I believe most errors are coming from the install file hence the reason I am changing it to a product xml file that needs to be imported. So please if you have not done so, please click INSTALL so you will be able to receive updates for when I release the new version.

Thanks
Steve

Don't want to seem like i'm nagging, just wondering when are you going to put the new version up because you posted that you took it down on the 5th and its the 9th going on the 10th (for me) :P

Mythotical 08-10-2008 07:25 AM

I don't want to sound rude but I have a life, coding is not my life. I have a family and I have hobbies. Coding is one of them but if I don't feel like coding then I don't. I just haven't felt like adding the finishing touches. I will get done as soon as possible, if I try to force myself then I will release a crappy version and I don't want that.

Death roW 08-10-2008 10:34 PM

Alright, alright. I was just wondering why you had not kept to your release date with no word of reason to why is delayed. I couldnt careless when you release it, i couldnt care less if you never released it again.

Like i said, i was only asking. No need to snap at me for asking a question that was bound to be asked anyway due to the fact you had not updated your thread.

dbigras 08-11-2008 01:50 PM

Why not use VBAdvanced or VBPortal instead of this module?

At least, they are very professionnal.

Mythotical 08-11-2008 02:07 PM

dbigras: Why come in my thread and suggest another mod? vBAdvanced and vBPortal both have a large range of modules but this is a straight up news portal only.

Death Row: Sorry, you are the 4th person to ask in a week. I plan to release once I have the urge to finish it, right now I'm afraid of it screwing up like it has and if that happens then I will take this mod down for good.
