Yep. I tried to explain that to the coder earlier. :)

If I disable the Invitation Userdata 2 plugin which hooks to userdata_delete then I don't get the error.

Has anyone else have this issue?

We ran into the same problem. In the plugin code, the SQL delete was split across several lines with some nonprinting characters in between. Editing the code to put the whole SQL statement on the same line removed some apparently rogue non printing characters and the plugin seems to be working fine now

We have already done that. :) Solves the token error but creates an SQL Database error.

You can add the line in the usercp_invitation template

Suggestion:

Its a great mod and I have already installed it. Thanks for making it! Here is a suggestion which will make this mod unbeatable:

1. If the person (invited) joins the forum, he should automatically get added to the friends list of the person who invited him.

2. Once the person joins the forum, he gets an automatically a private message from the person who invited him.

For example A invites B

B joins the forum

A gets added to B's friends list (and vice versa)

B receives a pm/visitor message from A saying that - "Welcome to the forums, I have added you as a friend .. keep in touch" (customizable text)

A receives a pm/visitor message from B saying that - "Hey! I joined the forum on your request ..... ping me when u get this message! " (again customizable text)

this will basically mean that everytime someone joins on an invitation they already have a friend. ..that really helps.

Have you fixed database talbe prefix problem?

Mum 05-23-2008 06:03 PM

That friend idea would have to be able to be turned off, as i wouldn't want that.

My Invite Your Friends link is not working in the navbar of my vBa CMPS homepage. Is there an easy way to fix this?

http://sonoma.ca.theparentpack.org

I get an error 404 when I click on it from the homepage. Help

VargTimmen 05-24-2008 09:21 AM

Great mod, but it gives us some trouble with our custom style. But nothing, which we couldn't handle with :)

Great hack , but why don`t make a permission for user group to change the number of invatetion from there ?
it will be faster than each user ? and after the change done for the hole group you can give more or less number for some users !
I hope you understand what i mean :)

Excellent mod, thanks so much to the developers! :D

Any word on the invite tree (I'm presuming this would trace out who has invited who)? It is the only thing missing that I could really use. Thanks!

revert your usercp template

sweetguy2004 05-25-2008 08:12 PM

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Allowed User Groups
Comma seperated list of user groups that are allowed to use the invitation system.

2,5,6,7,9,10,11,12,13

m trying with admin nick usergroup 6 wats the prob??

Hi.

This is a great addition. It installed very smoothly!

I have a few questions:

There are 100 invitations. What happens when that gets to 0? Why is there a countdown at all? Can that be turned off?

There is an option to have this on the NavBar or in QuckLinks, but not both. This is such an important feature can there be an option to add to both?

Thanks.

Laura

I could use this feature too.

MrFlicks 05-26-2008 01:48 PM

Installed - Clicked Installed - with thanks

Would be interesting for some to perhaps consider adding the ability to include board members referral URL's Hasan.

I'd like to turn it off as well - i don't know why you'd want to restrict the number.

Battle_Ring 05-27-2008 02:18 AM

how bout a page you can see wh oreferrerd who and how many refers the person has

Please make it so you can turn off the limit of how many can be sent

fullfactor 05-27-2008 08:26 AM

Excellent add-on. Installed version 2.0.3 with no problems thus far.

A few minor suggestions to make this mod even better:

1. Use the standard forum sender name and address in outgoing emails (or provide an option to do so). It does not make sense to use the recipient's address in the From: header, and furthermore this causes many invitation emails to be misidentified as spam. Our forum is heavily optimized so that outgoing emails do not get flagged as spam (reverse DNS, SPF records, etc.) but this requires that the outgoing emails have the forum address in the From: header.

2. Hide the Invitation System from usergroups and/or users who are not allowed to send invitations. These users should not see the Invitation box or links in UserCP.

3. As already suggested by others, provide an option for unlimited invitations.

Thanks for a great mod! Your work is much appreciated.

Hello there I don't see why would we edit templates sense every thing work with me just fine before I edit any thing

any comment, please?

DieselTruck 05-28-2008 12:00 AM

I noticed the link is automatically put into the navbar. How can I remove this link?

caggla 05-28-2008 02:10 AM

I just want to give the authorisation for admins to send invitations but in their user cp every usergroup can see the mod , even the restricted ones like waiting moderation and the banned.
Also when it is enabled invitation system bar is double in the user cp .

punchbowl 05-28-2008 02:11 PM

How do I set the number of invites per usergroup?

There is a setting for the MOD on its back-end settings page. Did you even look?
