excellent job nix, very impressed with the functionality so far... especially for a beta release.

codershark 03-30-2008 09:14 PM

when I will add a profile video I get the following mistake:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/goldbrick/plugins/profile_start.php(19) : eval()'d code on line 2

DoB Rhapsody 03-31-2008 11:30 PM

How does this work with the news module in VBadvanced?

um... there are just a few U.S. based vbulletin sites set up out there, that have just a few U.S. members, that would disagree with you on that. :p

Hi I get this error on my board using vb 3.7 RC1

Any idea on a fix please.

I've added Hulu but they are very stingy with their embeds so you'll have to get the embed url from the embed code. But they make it pretty easy. Will be out in the next release that also has some bug fixes.

Upgrade to PHP 5

Tralala 04-01-2008 08:38 PM

I am only using AME (Auto Media Embedding System) for the Amazon.com feature... it automatically converts amazon links to affiliate links, and includes a product picture as well:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=1114

I'd love to use Goldbrick for everything instead (and turn off AME completely) ... any chance Goldbrick can handle Amazon links, too?

nix 04-01-2008 09:21 PM

Yea I can do that.

Dilldogs 04-02-2008 03:37 AM

I can not get it to work.

When I try and upload the product xml [I] get this error:

No file uploaded and no local file found.

nightbloom 04-02-2008 04:37 AM

Isnt there a way to make this work whether ppl use IMG tags or not? Getting ppl to not use them after all these years seems to be asking a lot. lol I like every part of this product EXCEPT that part and I am hesitant about implementing it.

joh 04-02-2008 10:36 AM

has anyone get this mod to work correctly. My needs are very simple, I just need it to play the video in the post and play wmv files from my server.

naisho 04-02-2008 10:57 AM

I agree with you. Before adding new features, priority should go to bug fixes. This mod can be great when bugs are fixed.
So far I can't use it as my own flv files don't work with firefox in this goldbrick mod (works only with IE).
I hope the bug will be fixed in next upgrade.
Thanks for the work anyway; I know it's difficult to satisfy everybody.

nix 04-02-2008 05:21 PM

I've already fixed most of those. I just need to release it.

when is this going to be out?
I got 3.7 because this mod was going to take the place of the anymedia that i had on my board. the guys on my site want me dead for upgrading the forum. I also notice that you play a video in the user profile, will that also work in your new release???

nix 04-03-2008 06:24 PM

Yes it will.

When I get some free time it will be out. I have to feed the kids first!!

MissKalunji 04-04-2008 05:40 PM

*hoping it's going to be soon*

rizelim 04-05-2008 08:29 AM

Thanks

Getting a white screen on all threads. I'm using php 4.3.11 is this why?

testebr 04-05-2008 09:12 PM

Goldbrick's Requirements:
  • Vbulletin :P
  • PHP 5

pspcrazy 04-06-2008 12:10 AM

Hi I was wondering is there anyway to make old bbcodes work with this hack or potentially another hack on here?

My old BB codes look like this:

[veoh]v6564070JPc6GzyS[/veoh]
[megavideo]23ed332[/veoh]
[myspacetv]3234df[/veoh]

Something like that basically is there anyway or any software that can either play those, convert them into your stuff, or allow the user's to see them?

Thanks.

nix 04-07-2008 06:16 AM

I could probably add something like that. I'm just about to a point were i can take a break from some paid work and put an update out.

Ergeiz 04-07-2008 11:13 AM

Hello, was interested in this mod so decided to implement it. Small problem when i tried to post
a thread.

If you don't want to wait for a fix, just delete that line in class_goldbrick.php.

gwerzal 04-08-2008 10:07 AM

Hi

I am just getting a blank page with the text below on it

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/admin/public_html/goldbrick/plugins/bbcode_create.php on line 53

pipibunny 04-08-2008 03:20 PM

I use it for file .wmv but it not show. It's not work with file .wmv ?

Tralala 04-09-2008 07:33 PM

flickr now supports video, and video embedding. Here's a page with video:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/sallypn...takethepicture

and here are the embedding options: http://www.flickr.com/photo_embed.gn...ool-725977@N23

(I am currently using bbFlickr for the embedding images.)

Any chance Goldbrick can support flickr for video and/or images?

gwerzal 04-10-2008 03:50 PM

Can anyone please please help me

I keep getting this code on a blank page

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/admin/public_html/goldbrick/plugins/bbcode_create.php on line 53

MissKalunji 04-10-2008 04:14 PM

do you have php5? this is only compatible with php 5

Yea I can do that. I didn't notice any embed code on that page. Do you have to be log in to see it?

PHP 5 Only.

I really need to code that into this mode to check that the server has php 5 :(

MissKalunji 04-10-2008 07:05 PM

did you have time to fix the flv? it comes out blank in IE just like anymedia used to do

gwerzal 04-10-2008 11:15 PM

I need a way of showing video's in my posts and making it so only certain usergroups can view the video's.

Can this mod do this?

If it can it might be worthwhile me changing servers to one with php 5.

I am currently using my hostgator reseller account which uses php 4.4.4 i think or something.

Has anyone got a demo of this so i could see it in action

If this question is for me then the answer is probably yet. I've fixed all the bugs that I'm aware of. I'll take some time off this weekend to release an update.

I've had this idea also. Its something I want to add.

legionofangels 04-11-2008 08:40 PM

Its too bad this only works in posts. It would be nice if you could separate and organize the embedded objects on there own pages. It would make it a gallery then, rather than just embedding in posts which aren't as easy to organize video.

MissKalunji 04-11-2008 08:53 PM

you could modifiy the template to have one

Seems like the more mods I release the more that get ripped tough...

Sort of like this ;)

legionofangels 04-11-2008 09:02 PM

That is exactly what I want to do.

Did you do that yourself, or someone else?

It's absolutely perfect.

nix 04-11-2008 09:42 PM

Myself. Its going to bee an add on if I ever get time :)

berry05 04-11-2008 10:03 PM

can people upload there own videos and media to it?
