Hey Im Not Realy Sure On How Good You Are At Coding And Stuff Like That For Site

But I Want To Teach You A Lil Trick I Do All The Time

And This Should ot Be Takeing As A Insult Or AnyThing Like That

But When SomeOne Tells You To Find Such And Such Code

For Example:

}

If You Cant Find That Code In A Template, .php File, Or What Ever

Try Taking Part Of The Code Off

So Like Since You Couldnt Find That Code I Would Have Searched For:

Code:

if ((!$_GET['do'] || $_GET['do'] == ''))

Then Just Press Search Again Just To Make Sure There Is No Other Code Like That In The Template, .php File, Or What Ever.

Chances Are The Part That You Find Is Part Of What You Are Looking For.

Now Lets Say You Found The Same Thing 2 Times.

What I Would Do Is Compleatly Copy Everything In That template, .php File, Or What Ever. And Copy It Into A Text Document So You Dont Mess Things Up. (aka Ghetto Back Up lol)

Then Just Mod What Ever Part Looks Closest To What You Were Looking For In The First Place. Chances Are What You Find Is What You Are Looking For.

HopeFully That Will Help You Out In Later Times

As a user, you can create a playlist of your favourite clips, when you do that, the playlist has a custom id, enter that and voila you get all the movies in the playlist..

To Make the default start page your playlist..

in vBTube.php find:

Code:

{

        $_GET['do'] = 'today';

}

and change to:

Code:

if ((!$_GET['do'] || $_GET['do'] == ''))

{

                $pid='<playlistid>';

        $_GET['do'] = 'playlist';

}

replace <playlistid> with your playlist id

or you can edit the vBTube template and add a link to:

vBTube.php?do=playlist&pid=<playlistid>

replace <playlistid> with your playlist id

What I would like is some kind of message from vB.org, to let us know if this as well as the prayer hack have been removed for potential vulnerabilities.
I think I understand how a coder can get frustrated and just walk away for a breath of fresh air.
But I still would like a confirmation that a second potential vulnerability is not the reason for these two abrupt removals.

Potential vulneralbility I believe so vB.org asked the author to temporarily remove it until a fix has been provided. The precaution is to protect the users and author(s).

that was earlier today though, it did come back after that but disapperared without a trace now lol

Nope, that was fixed by the release of 1.2.6. The author has since removed the files.

I think the only problem was the ability to download the videos. EFC9 can you upload the fix again please... Very nice VB Mod... all my members love it..

As his last posts in this thread the author seemed positive and suggesting an upgrade to it on the 5th of November and he released a new mod that someone gave a single star to. I suppose my thinking is along the line of that upset the guy and maybe something said to him about it caused him to remove both mods.

Shame really as this one was just taking off well.

Yeah - very disappointed in getting the "exploit" email - Astonished really - but I hope whatever +++++++ caused the bitterness - doesn't succeed in keeping the modification in the graveyard - That would be horribly bad as I think this vBTube hack is AWESOMENESS personified.

I look forward to the updated version EFC9 and hope that some sort of positive resolution comes of this drama.

Ah - I just read the email from vB.org saying the modification was out of the graveyard - so anyway - that's good I suppose - but I still hope the +++++++ that caused the tention and drama won't succeed in keeping the modification removed ((( or whatever... )))

It'd be kinda sad really - cause the modification is AWESOME! so I hope to see the mod back ;)

Echoing that.
I'm no php expert, but I've been an active vBulletin license owner for a while.
That was some clean code, and the author resolved the vulnerability issue pronto.

I'll keep it on my board even with the exploit, if that's all I can get, cause I love it. The members love it too!
