Very nice, easy to install, and works great.

I've noticed one thing when it shows the New messages since your last visit:, when I go anywhere on my site or refresh the page, it brings it back up even though they are not new since my last visit. While it's not a big deal, it does fool me into thinking there are new messages.

A feature I would like to see is the option to choose between stacked or side to side of the windows. I say this because the current config almost doesn't offer me enough space because of how my forum is laid out.

Also an audible alert (that can be turned on or off by the user) when new messages are made. :D

I'm so sorry to have to ask this question - I really feel stupid, but I can't find > Plugin System > Manage Products. I can find AdminCP with no problem, but I don't have those other files/folders. Would someone please be so kind as to point me in the right direction! Thanks so very much!

It's located on the bottom left menu column. It should be third from the bottom listed as Plugins & Products. This is assuming you are either the root admin or have that type of admin acess if you're not.

Something I found out that may help others:
To prevent huge posts, entering size into the bbcode ban box doesn't work, it needs to be size=3,size=4,size=5 etc.

Suggestion:
How about being able to specify number of messages in the small chatbox, and number of messages in the large chatbox?

Possible issue:
If a user leaves their computer on all day with a page showing with the chatbox on all day, it keeps polling all day. It would be nice if it checked for activity (user logged in) and stopped polling if appropriate.

some of my members complain that when they press enter, the message doesn't shout out but it go down to another line...is there any way to fix it?

edited :: i figured out that the complaining members are using IE and i tried....comes out that it doesn't work w/ IE

is the shoutbox v 3.6.4 compatible ?

I am wondering if anyone has had server problems with this mod? Hostgator point it out for me, thats it was seeing to much activity coming from the chatbox that they shut me down. Anyone has had a similar problem? I knew for a fact that my chatbox had well over 200k post and over 3k of pages, probably that was macking the server to high load. Let me know

I would still like to figure out how to set the chatbox so that if someone is on your ignore list you won't see their messages in the chatbox...

Ok, I'm not sure if this has been covered or not but I'm having issues with the permissions. On my forum I restrict the chat access to VIP Members only but I have them set up as:

Primary Usergroup : Registered Users
Secondary Usergroup : VIP Members

I set Registered User to View Chat Only and have VIP to be able to use Chat BUT they can't because of their Primary Usergroup has them as Registered and I am assuming the Primary Usergroup settings override the Secondary Usergroup settings.

Can this be fixed or can someone tell me how to make the Secondary Usergroup override the Primary Usergroup?

Right now as it stands, the chatbox only appears on my forum's main page.

In the settings, there's one called "Show chatbox on". I have index,forumdisplay,search but you can put it on any page you like.

I think there is some user like to have a send button for sending there chat some time you need to click inside the chat box then you push enter the send button will help you lettle with this :)
