is that correct?

I got EWT Chat to work, once usergroup access was turned on.
This should be added to the install instructions.
"Must enable EWT Chat for each usergroup you want Chat accessible to.
In ACP/Usergroups/Manage Usergroups, by selected usergroup, Edit, go to bottom, there's a new untitled "Chat" section, turn on/off applicable options."

I was wrong. Got EWT Chat window to "show up," but, nothing I type in is being displayed in the chat room. What other step(s) have I missed?

Is it just me, or is there no "Prune Now" feature. I have chat text that is over a week old sitting in my room. The "auto pruning" does not seem to function.

There are no Smilies.

The smilies from the forum function, just need to type in the keyboard code for them.

Maybe I missed it here somewhere.......but I have set Usergroup permissions to not allow anyone to create new rooms, but they still can. Any suggestions here?

Uninstall the Plugin
Make sure ALL Templates are REMOVED.
Reinstall the plugin.

Now it works in I.E.

I even logged out and killed my cache and cookies, and I am still able to get in and chat with I.E.

If I can figure out the pruning, I'll let you know.

Seems that the Auto Prune setting does not like 0.5 days, guess it only accepts whole numbers. Would be nice to be able to auto prune every 30 minutes or so.

I just installed this and will try it for a day or so. It REALLY needs a "Who is Chatting" feature. If it works, I have no problem at all purchasing the pro version but that one seems to be lacking some features also. Any plans to add it?

How can I prune without wating a day to prune ?

So whats the status on this hack? It appears to be stalled as there have been no updates in several weeks and there are some glaring bugs. Even the paid version of the hack has not been updated.

Just installed 3.0.1. Issues i found:

1: Scroll bar keeps jumping up and down. Very annoying! No matter what I do it won't stop.
2: Sometimes I have to type a smiley in order to see the chat window.

Anyone knows a solution to these?

I have this installed on my site and if you have IE6 or 7 then you can't see what is being wrote, any idea's why?

this hack is a piece of crap.

This hack is actually quite good...the lack of support for it is the crap. The 2.9.x series was 1000x better, this new 3.0 version may have "significantly" reduced server load (I havent noticed that much of a difference) but it had almost all the features you wanted for a chat room. I even bought the pro version hoping it would get all the features and stuff but that too has been lacking support meaning I just got scammed out of $15. I am not very happy with this.

Beware of the support. The talkerbot he made, no updates on it either (good coder though). You might need a mini staff.
