Yes Sir, there has been a lot of things on my plate.
- I have not forgot :)

I can work it where the script detects who is the DJ by info they fill out in the DSP plugin.
- AIM, ICQ (script will detect and pull the database info on the "custom dj profile")

We have got it working on all pages, but when we upgraded to rc4, we get this error if it is activated on anything bar the frontpage

Any ideas on this? It worked seamlessly on RC3, but as soon as we hit RC4, the shoutcast bar caused problems on all the other pages. It's definitely the shoutcast plugin, because if we switch it from global_start to forumhome_start, it works fine, but as soon as we switch it back, it causes problems.

Not sure at the moment. It has been a while since I looked @ the code. I have it ripped apart and re-designed for the new version. I'll build in multi location across all pages.

brilliant modd, used on my 3.6 board, now upgraded my board to 3.7 gold. and installed this mod again, and yay, it works perfectly.

I have vB 3.7.

How can i integrate it in all pages, not only in forumhome.
i have put $scast in navbit template and i have choose "custom" in the plug-in, but it doesnt work. its only worls in forumhome.

shoutcast in navbit at vB 3.6 worked in all pages. what is the different between 3.6 and 3.7.

Does this require anything else to work, like membership in shoutcast?

No, no membership needed.
- This will allow you to display on-line status of a shoutcast server.
- It can be a personal, company, or favorite station.

The biggest problem people have is with their web host allowing the script to query the remote shoutcast server. Security issues with PORTs. Many hosts only allow queries for data on port 80 (http, rss, xml feeds). I have seen many webhosts designate a port for "other" needs of their clients.

My whole site crashed after install. I get the following errors:

The sites working, the product is not. Any ideas why I got that error?

I just ask web host to open port 8000 and they did.

I re-read the instructions, which I followed to the letter, than I looked at what I downloaded, and noticed there is a includes/shoutcast dir, there is no mention of this in the directions.

I am going to try uploading that dir and see what happens.

I read earlier in this thread "the only thing you change, is your Server Name, The IP and then the Password,?

I have recently just installed this mod, thanks very much.

Only problem is, my shoutcast server is working fine i can access it. But when i type it into the options and then save, it shows it as off line.

I love this addon. And I'm happy to say that it's working perfectly on 3.7.0 :D.

I do have one question though. Is it possible to increase the size of the Windows Media Player popup window? What I'd really like is to be able to show the scroll bar so that people can see what song is playing etc.

Long time lurker, first time poster ;). Even more concerning is the fact that all three of my posts are to you...people will start to talk soon PMSL.

I must be doing something wrong. I've edited the line above for both the default template and the custom on, I tried changing the height value to 100 and then 500 (just in case I was going blind lol) and even set resizable to =yes but no change. Tried a full cache refresh of the page too. Could this be because I'm using 3.7.0?

Ok I've got the actual WMP itself the right size now, what you posted got me thinking, so I changed the following code from Template: forumhome_shoutcast_mp

Height=50 (changed to 65).

But I just can't for the life of me make the popup window change height. Could this have anything to do with me using 3.7.0?

Have you CHMOD'd scast_home.xml 777 and checked your settings in ACP? I can't remember now, as it's been so long since I installed this, but I think I changed the Server Update variable. Mines set at 120 and working fine.

If none of that then you'd be best waiting for Zachariah, or maybe PMing him, to help you out.

İt was working well. Suddenly it started to show always offline even if the radio is online. Whats the problem ?

i installed and everything is working cept its not showing the song title. just a + symbol

Make sure the MP3's you are streaming to the server have their ID3 tags filled out.
- Title, Artist

That info in each Mp3 is decoded and sent to the shoutcast server.

OK STUPID question time..............

What I would like to do is put this in my forumdisplay template so that it shows up no matter where on the forum people are.

We get a lot of new members that don't know the radio is on the forumhome page.

Is it possible to have this, maybe by editing the xml file or copying templates across to forumdisplay or both ?????

If it's not then that's ok, i'll have to post links all over my forum for the thicko's that can't find it......LOL

Use the custom tag and place it anywhere you want.

I've experienced the same problem today. One user stopped streaming and when another started the plugin said the radio was offline even though the shoutcast was running fine. I've tried reinstalling the entire mod and to no success. Any help would be appreciated.

I can do that for the Forumhome page but not for others...........

I realize this is a old mod but I saw where you mentioned you were working on a way to have multiple or favorite stations listed. Was that ever finished?
