when i try to install the games from varcade it installs but it gets a few errors here is some of them www.el-halawa.net/test/arcade_error.jpeg
*o and it does not let play the 2 games it just loads and loads and loads

Installed worked a treat. Thanks for this John, just done an upgrade from old 1. Can be a bit confusing for some that dunno how to remove fields. But good luck on new easier release :)

Still getting 1 Permissions error when I add new games, but they install ok, and it all works, summit with arcadeadmin.php or something, cant see it as it goes to quickly heh

Does this solve the problem you are having, in it's entirety? And, Where exactly should it be added? If you could provide a short string it would be appreciated.

Make sure that you CHMOD the following folders to 0777 for this import:
forumroot/admincp/games
forumroot/images/arcade
forumroot/games

Pg 17 post: WOW, this thread moves fast.... I made a post on PG 13 and was wondeirng if anyone could answer it for me. I added the arcade to the site and it's not working. But, the error I'm getting isn't what everyone else is getting. I have no clue where to even begin to fix this problem...

make sure your directories are setup correctly.
under the forum root, there should not be an "arcade" folder, but only a file ("arcade.php").

Easy way is, in your Favorite FTP program (I use Smartftp) right click on the folder, and then you will see the option for Properties/CHMOD

Just type in the box where it prolly says 755

0777

Easy as that

On and make sure the folder your clicking is in the right hand side if using smartftp, or it won't work :)

So i wasnt the only one amazed at the popularity of v3 Arcade :)
I've collated hundreds of v3 Arcade games throughout the dumpsters of many sites, not sure if they are of any interest to anyone?

Wait for more legal and paid versions of games. There aren't many released yet, Anything that is out right now is most likely illegal or pirated, so I would suggest being sure before installing on your site.

Dear John, Oblivion Knight, Snowy et al....

My gang and I have been enjoying the "Branding Free/Beta" version of the Arcade for well over a week. It's butt kicking, and I'm sure the final release is even better.

If I wasn't married and straight, I'd give you a big, wet kiss on the mouth right now.

The legal ones are the ones that came with it and the ones on v3arcade.com.

Excellent job John. Before i install there's a question about the games for ibp so far developed. Are they usable in this v3arcade version? I mean ... can we keep the games we played with in ibp?

something tells me that you have bad experiences in life..

actually, the 1500 games released and distributed for ibproArcade are legal... about 15 or 20 are illegal due to the non-approval of the owners... and all these games are portable to v3arcade with the importer...

and all the other games released earlier for v3arcade (the old version) are to be re-installed in the server once John have the setup done and all files verified... he focussed on the script lately, will do the same with the games once he is rested...

How do I turn off catagores, so that when you goto the arcade.php url, you just get a list of the games with page numbers at the bottom on default??
