We stayed on version 2 long after 3 was the gold release. We run many modifications here, some of them the public doesn't even see because they are tools to help the staff moderate the forums. All of these things have to work before we go to 3.5.

I asure you, we are not sitting on our collective butts doing nothing just to jerk around the membership here. Things are taking longer then expected, 3.5 came out sooner then we expected, staff members have had to leave at times over the last month or so due to unexpected illness in the family or work related things.

Marco, if this thread here is what is keeping you from upgrading this site, perhaps you should bring on more staff.

Brad, the point I was making is that it appears that you guys were not prepared 1 iota in getting this site turned over. From the first beta release, I thought you guys (or someone else) would be working on updating your modifications to work.

Why can't the staff here go without some of the tools you have hacked in here for a short period of time? Is the core software that deficient that the built-in tools can not manage a site like this? Why not bring on more staff to help moderate? With 100,000 members, it seems you are short-staffed anyways as I can only identify 4 or 5 moderators moderating on a consistent basis.

This is a site full of talented coders whom I'm sure would be thrilled in helping port over some of your special hacks. Perhaps you guys should ask them for help?

Cheers,

~Regs.

I say: let them do what they're doing and leave it at that. Surely, waiting several more weeks til they fully upgrade vb.org isn't gonna make things worse, right? I mean... sure, having quick editing might be great, but unless there's a timebomb that says "this forum will explode in 10 seconds unless you upgrade to 3.5", we should just wait it out the same way we all waited for 3.5 to be released ;)

OK, will do!

How long for 3.5 guys????? Personally I`m lookin forward to you`s upgrading as the navigation around the hacks ain`t exactly at it`s best at the moment. Found it great on 3.0 because of the way it was laid out on ther forums so lookin forward to the hack dbase. But also it ain`t exactly a good advertisement for vbulletin when most people have upgraded by now and the official flagship hack site ain`t...

Not a gripe, this is an excellent site, just a general observation and question that I`m sure others must be wondering again by now.

The official Flagship site is vBulletin.com just for the record.

Read closer Wayne.

I read it closer and I saw what Wayne saw on that one.

And I`ve got news for ya`s ... I read it and I also saw what wayne did LMFAO ...

I do beleive that regs got what I meant though .... I just missed a word .... flagship hack site.....

What can I say ... never have been good with the keys after a few tins ;)
