The notification works, but there is no text in the notification.

When I clicked on compatibility view, it worked. Didn't work in Firefox yet.

Looking for more info please.
  • What additional of resources does this use?
    • Additional queries per page?
    • Efficient indexes added?
    • Does it use or can use vbsphinx/digitalpointsphinx?
    • Has it been tested on large +2 million posts forums?
    • Has it been tested on multiple 2000+ posts per thread?
  • Is is compatible with vbSEO's likes system?

This is my graphics when I installed his product. The 2 drops is when I disbled it, for testing. My forum is almost new, just a few posts and active users www.inkatech.net/forums

Daveaite told me that he has "no problems" with this. Well I haven't a dedicated server or VPS. I'm on shared hosting, Siteground.

Saludos.

I am running it on my server perfectly fine and I have a 30k sized forum. It does use some resources as it is programmed in Ajax and requires to check for new entries in your database at a time you set

Please also note, you are running your site on a shared server.

I do not have a 2 Million forum post to test it on or a 2000+ post thread. I have seen it work on 200 post threads.
It is compatible with vBSEO, it currently does not include "like" notifications inside.

Keep in mind this product is still a baby, but it works awesomely well. Many of these questions can only be answered with the help of testing, testing and more testing :P I find it extremely useful on my sites, and I hope you do too.

Ah come on, plz solve the problems first before to say "it works awesomely well". That's why I hate the sellers. xD

1.- Almost 1000% (one thousand) more CPU usage on shared hostings (I don't have VPS or dedicated server to test), setting with your defaults. Now I'm testing with 120 seconds on ajax use interval and still high, 100% more on rush hour.

2.- Can't show non "latin" languages, just like japanese, chinese, etc. On UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1

3.- Cant' show any "latin" language symbols (??????????????, etc) on UTF-8 forums, have collation problems.

4.- The template have a css problem when you click the "world" to see a new notificaction.

About 2 and 3 I solved by myself. Nice support for 59 bucks

Saludos.

First off, have you tested it on a forum that doesn't use UTF-8. We have said many times that it does not work with Foreign language websites.

Second of all, we have a lite version for testing before buying. It is very similar to the Ultimate version minus a handful of features. So if you did try out the lite, and you liked it, then why would you complain about the ultimate version.

Edit: We actually just tested it with UTF-8, and that will cause a performance lag. That explains your performance graphs.

No offense to him, but he isn't using the modification properly. If used on default /American/English Speaking vBulletin installation, it won't consume nearly that much.
