hi, and thanks for grabbing my atention with this great mod.....

I would love to be able to add this to my wifes poetry site, so i am able to give awards out to its members, sadly im so new at all this im terrified, especially if its not just a download one of them XLfile thingies into the add-ons bit... As ive not dared to download one mod which involves writing stuff somewhere where i cant find or might destroy what we already have...

Do you have any advice for the simple minded like myself, so we could use this...?

many thanks

You don't have to edit any files, etc. Download, Install, Go.

Admin Control Panel > Plugins & products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product

click it and then u will see

==========================

EITHER upload the XML file from your computer : Upload ya Xml

OR import the XML file from your server :

Allow Overwrite
If you wish to upgrade a product, you must set this to yes.

==========================

The rest just leave it like that . Unless u wanna replace the original YaAS 4.0 u already installed then tick " YES " for overwrite section .

The files that are in the upload dir:

There are files within directory's, take those files and upload them to the corresponding directory on your web server.

The files that are just inside the upload directory but are not in another directory, just upload these to the forum root: /forums/ directory or whatever you have your forums directory called.

I hope this helps.

For those who wanted to know what the normal postbit verses the legecy postbit would look like here is a screen shot of the normal postbit.

Currently the Awards Showcase displays in a Frameset/Legend. It should use the same colors that you have set in your style.

For the linking to the Awards in the member profiles. I know you can get some tabs to automatically display when you link to them. But I cannot figure out how to do it with custom tabs. I will so some research on this tonight and get back with everyone on an update.

Quote:

<!-- show awards -->
<br />
<if condition="$post[showuserawards]">
$post[userawards]
</if>
<!-- /show awards -->
it works fine if i wanted to see the member profile i just clicked on the image and it'll redirect me to there profile.I haven't had any problems so i left it as that...:cool:
