Quite sure that this isn't an old or changed template?
I don't know, because I don't want to compare it.

I took a fresh installed 3.8. and in navbar template

It makes all these template changes a lot easier while updating.

Interesting. Did anyone notice that the Privacy link isn't in the UCP? I had to disable the mod until I can either fix it or it gets updated.

While I did not notice it, it would not affect me as I am on open book and do not think privacy exist and if it does it is over rated.

I must be missing something. I uploaded the images to my /forums/images/misc directory and I am using the default VB style, yet I cannot see any images? The only other styles I have are substyles of the VB default. So would I need to put the images anywhere else?

I forgot to add that I am running VB 3.8.1. The menu structure seems find, I just don't have the images.

Dang... don't I fell stupid now...

My test site image info was still pointing to my live site which had not had the images upload to it yet :o

Works fine now :D
