I don't think so

what I'm asking for is related to this mod.. and I think it's not hard to be edited or edding some codes and phrases by -Cyb..

I think it's simple but I'm not a coder..

I hope we can get an answer from Cyb and not to get ignored by him..

It's not phrase thing. It requires several changes in plugins.

I still believe in you and know you can do it.. ;)

because this issue looks really ugly when guests get the message about their posts count..
I mean they're just guest, and they don't have any, posts.. so they should see another error message

:)

thanks Cyb..

Had to uninstall. It has been working for a long time - maybe a year. I made a bunch of changes to my forum this am and it stopped Starting New Threads when someone reported a post. See

Report Post starting a new thread stopped working.

See thread: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279042

I was making some changes in my forum this morning and I changed the forum I had specified in vBulletin Options > User Infractions and Post Reporting Options to start a thread in a different forum than what I had it set for. I had it set to start a new thread in my 'super moderators' forum and changed it to the 'moderator's' forum. When I changed the destination forum the software stopped starting a new thread - period. I changed back to the forum I did have it set to start a new thread in but it still won't start a new thread when someone reports a post as it did before.

It still sends emails like it should (I have it set for admins, super mods and mods to get emails). It just doesn't start a new thread.

Do any of you have any ideas? The board is rather heavily modded, but everything was working up until I made that change this morning. Is there any setting / permissions that anyone is aware of that could cause this? Is there anything that would conflict with this function?

I have a test account and tried to see if reporting a post from different user groups and forums made any difference and neither the user group of the reporter or the forum the reported thread is in make any difference.

Now, I did change some things in several of my forums permissions this morning, but I don't see anything there that should interfere with the Report this Post starting a new thread in a forum set in the vBulletin Options > User Infractions and Post Reporting Options settings.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Cyb,

I want to have a different error message displayed in the postbit when unregistered users are not allowed to view attachments, but once registered, can view thumbnails. Right now 'error_postcount_too_low_attachment' is being used for both cases.

I've made it as far as editing Cyb - APBOUPC - P4 (PD) to use 'error_postcount_too_low_attachment_postbit' and I've created the phrase, but I'm getting the error in the postbit that 'error_postcount_too_low_attachment_postbit' does not exist.

What am I missing?

Cyb, any insight on this?

It can not be ugly. It's just information that area is not opened for all users. Is there any good reason to hide this info from guests? No one like situations where you see message "please register", then you register and see another message "no access before you bla bla". Users will leave forum in many cases after this and you will just have a lot of inactive accounts in your database.

Few days ago I've registered to some forum because membership is required to view threads, then I activated account, and then I see another message "you must donate to view......". Then I asked admin to delete my account as I will never use it again. I'll be thankful if they said in the first message that forum area is accessible to donors only.

How about an option to restrict members under X amount of posts from posting files?
