you should correct the permissions at your server:
set 0777 for vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder
AND 0666 for ALL files in vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder

I see that you have the site's root URL entered in sitemap (probably added in extra-urls.txt file), you should NOT have any URLs above your forums folder.

Seems to be working fine. Great Mod.

Already moved from the fourth page to the 3rd page for our targeted key words. Well, still propogating through all the Google DC's... If we can get all our 240,000+ forum pages indexed our ranking can only get better as far as I can see.

I installed this program almost a week ago, Iv checked the reports and it says GoogleBot many times, however I have still not seen any pages from my website submitted to google, is this normal?

It can take a long time before they start to show up. Just keep everything consistent and stick with it.

I've been running this for a while now (since my last post) ;) ... it's funny how google works. Our indexed pages fluctuate on a daily basis... both up an down.

On any day of the week, we can go as low as 486 indexed pages or as high as 480,000 indexed pages.

I've tried submitting my maps every day, every 7 days, now I'm up to every 30 days.

It seems that figuring out the best way to do this is about as easy as trying to figure out how one's credit score is calculated.

I have been following the discussions in Google's sitemap forum, and I really wonder if sitemaps are really necessary. We never bothered before I installed this, and as far as I can see, nothing has changed.

ok i went to my sitemap section and i clicked on to show me the bots....., it shows me no bots list?
