Wolfstream, do you think my problems have to do with the custom usergroup i set for facebook connect?

My Facebook fans are starting to complain about the fb connect only sometimes working. It seems like a FB issue, but no one else is complaining. I started a thread in the fb developer forum so well see if they have any answers.

Any ideas why else it would only work half the time?

For those of you getting this error:

Here's a possible Fix. In your /forums/fblogin.php:

Change:

$fbuid = intval($vbulletin->facebook->get_loggedin_user());

To:

$fbuid = $vbulletin->facebook->get_loggedin_user();

if (!is_numeric($fbuid))

{

        $fbuid = 0;

}

REASONS:
Depending on your system, intval(XXX) can return a maximum value of 2147483647. I tried floatval(XXXX), but that has a precision of something like 14 numbers on some systems. Facebook User ID's are up to 15 digits now!! Too many people joining up!

So because of this reason, the UID is rounded off to an invalid ID and fails to return an email address on request.

Hopefully this solves the issue for some of you :p. It might not be the only issue, but it definitely solved mine.

Upped to 3.8.4 and mod seems perfectly fine so far.

I use navbits on non-vbulletin pages (my wordpress blog)

Is there a way to get this working on other pages? I get the loading image on pages that are not my forum.

My blog is at xxx.com and my forum is xxx.com/forum

I think it's a javascript error but can't figure it out. I've got the footer loaded properly. I'm getting the following errors:

Yahoo is undefined, vbulletin is null or not an object.

Edit: Fixed .. needed to include the yahoo js file.

Just reinstalled this again after a server move, however all i get now is HTTP 500 Internal server error.

This was working perfectly prior to the move, any ideas what could be the cause of this error.

running linux VPS

cheers in advance.

Ps i did look though posts but far too many and couldnt find any answers.

a 500 error is a server error. Contact your systems admin, have them look over the logs.

Hmm I liked this mod so much I installed it on my second board.

However I'm getting the "click and nothing happens" problem. I've triple checked my settings and everything is like it should be.

Can this mod be installed on two different forums (different domains) on the same server IP? I have set up a second facebook app.

In otherwords its working on xxx.com but not on yyy.com even though xxx and yyy have their own separate facebook apps.

The only thing different I see is my seccond application has an optional "Get Verified" link (where as my first site does not)

Do I need submit my second application for verification? Anyone using more then one install?

Then you're doing something wrong. Check all your settings, because one of them is off.

Absolutely, I had it running on 3 at one point. Facebook doesn't care about your ip address @ all, just the domain

This app doesn't care about verification, it cares about proper code and procedures. Follow the instructions and the app works.

I have in the past had it running on 3 domains on the same ip, since I've moved them to separate ip addresses, and added a second to the main install for testing purposes, so yes, this does work with multiple installs on the same ip. Check your configuration on both ends, and make sure that everything is uploaded as it should be.

Yep ... found one tiny error in the footer... so frustrating.

I've just installed this and now users can't post.

They keep getting a 'your post is too short, please legthen it to 5 characters' etc (not exact message)

It seems to be happening more in IE, if I use google chrome it doesn't do it.

Is there a fix? Paying members are not so happy at the moment..
