Question, is there any way to install the new version w/o losing the edits I made to how the hack displays?

What you can do is copy the edits you made into the templates that represent them now.

Strange. I just upgraded to 3.6.7 reverted the templates so standard templates because I reverted all templates used by version 6.0 of Post Thank You.
After that, I upgraded like it says in the instructions.

Now I see this in postbit:

Suggestion for next release. Give the admin the choice where to put the thanks button, I would like mine on the left side of the "edit" button.:)

It has to do with the vb template hook. You can move the hook and all hack will place buttons there.

I think it can replace the reputation button, since most reputation comments are useless and there is no a real need to keep them.

Could you please add the setting, so that reputation points that a user receives being thanked/groaned will be determined by reputation power of thanker/groaner. Now it is determining by fixed constant in admin control panel, but it will be nice if it will act just like the original reputation button works ("thanks" add an amount equal to reputation power of thanker, "groan" subtracts amount equal to 1/2 of reputation power of groaner).

Thus we can get rid of reputation button and stay with "thanks/groan".
