Are u sure u want v3 arcade or would you like my cheap and hard coded version.
Easy to do but it is your choice on something you can delete or something that has no uninstall info.

Code:

http://www.theundergroundsource.com/forums/online_flash_games.php?
or

Code:

http://www.theundergroundsource.com/forums/arcade.php?
I am going to take it offline since to many games have been altered for v3 arcade.

Do u have pop-up blocker on??

This will also work with vb 3.5?

michaelsilvia 08-27-2005 09:18 AM

Is there any update on this for VB 3.5?

Mike

Not this version as is.

Pete C 08-27-2005 12:21 PM

Gee, I was hoping to find the info already here, and maybe it is - but 4000+ posts is a lot to look through :surprised:

Ok, well I've installed the V3 Arcade on my site - seemed to be no problems. The Arcade displays and works fine. Only problem is, since I installed it I'm getting the following message when I try to post, or view a profile: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_GLOBAL, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/belder/public_html/includes/functions_showthread.php on line 103

I edited the "includes/functions_showthread.php" along with the other files (as per the instructions) but I've obviously got something wrong. Can anyone give me a clue where the error might be? - or if it's been posted already, a link - Please? :o

BlueHawk4u 08-27-2005 01:30 PM

Try re uploading the origanal "includes/functions_showthread.php" and editing it again, you may have deleted/edit/overwritten something by accident.

Pete C 08-27-2005 01:51 PM

Yeh - feeling pretty dumb already. I think it's just my copy/paste technique :ermm:

Just been reading through this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=39142 and I've sorted out the troublesome file. Think I'll invest in a decent text editor though - it might not be my only mistake! :confused:

ronoxQ 08-27-2005 01:52 PM

I don't know what happened...

I installed both the uCash and Arcade mods, one after another.

The uCash mod worked fine, so I decided to work out the Arcade one.

When I put it in, a few things happened...

First of all, I couldn't edit any of the arcade settings from my adminCP.

Second, All the "buy" options from uCash disappeared.

Third, I got these glitches popping up everywhere on my site:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /includes/functions.php on line 3004

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /global.php on line 645

And in the uCash menu,

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /admincp/uttstoreadmin.php on line 492

What do I do?

MThornback 08-27-2005 08:05 PM

I think you might want to give us an idea about whats on those lines...even give us 10 lines around it cause the error is so rarely where it says it is :p

The other idea would be to look at the uCash discussion and see if someone else needed a fix for it :)

Suiko Jin 08-28-2005 01:53 AM

On the game screen when you are playing a particular game and it has the "Back to the Arcade" link and the "View High Scores" link it doesn't work. BUT I think looked at the url of each link and they seem to have a double "//" like one is....

See how on the .net part it has two slashes? How can I get rid of that... or is it something I did wrong?

Egnited 08-28-2005 03:25 AM

Uploaded and installed - however I have one error in the home page of the vB backend home page:

Code:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: construct_nav_option() in /home/XXX/public_html/boards/admincp/index.php on line 456
Now this is the code it is referring to:

PHP Code:

construct_nav_option("General Settings"'arcadeadmin.php?do=general''<br />');
construct_nav_option("Game Settings"'arcadeadmin.php?do=games''<br />');
construct_nav_option("Score Settings"'arcadeadmin.php?do=scores''<br />');
construct_nav_option("Challenges"'arcadeadmin.php?do=challenges''<br />');
construct_nav_group("Arcade"'<hr />');

My arcadeadmin.php file is also not working. Whenever I try to load it, it's just a blank page. Anyonw know what's wrong?

pgowder 08-29-2005 01:13 AM

Where do you download games from now??

I think they should prune this thread down to game links & fixes to questions that are not double.

Anyone?

Have you verified your AdminCP modifications? If so, paste 3 lines above to 3 lines below so we can see what you have in there.

pgowder 08-29-2005 01:57 PM

I'm trying to convert back from IBProArcade. I think I got everything, but apparently I missed something.

Here's the arcade page:

http://www.powwows.com/gathering/arcade.php

The header shows, but nothing else???

Thanks

pgowder 08-29-2005 02:21 PM

Ok, got that part working. Now you can see all the games and my old scores are still there.

Now when you play a game, it won't submit the score. It says, waiting on powwows.com, but it doesn't go through??

Thanks!!

pgowder 08-29-2005 02:36 PM

I've only recieved 2 error emails, and not for the games I was trying. But maybe it will help:

Maybe this bug has already been reported, but with 250+ pages to search through, I thought I would try this...

So the bug is this: When someone matches the high score for a game, the arcade homepage will sometimes show the wrong trophy holder. It appears the query to select the current champ is a bit flawed as it queries only for the highest score, and if it finds two or more, will sometimes select the wrong person (ie. The person who did not get the high score first.)

The bug appears to be in this code block in the arcade.php file:
PHP Code:

    // While loop, where part of an SQL query is constructed

while ($thesession $DB_site->fetch_array($result_topscores))
    {

$where[] = "(gamename='$thesession[gamename]' AND score='$thesession[score]')";

$playedcounter[$thesession[gamename]] = $thesession['played'];
    }

$DB_site->free_result($result_topscores);

// Query built

if(!empty($where)) {

$whereclause "WHERE ".implode(' OR '$where);
    }

// Query to get the other data for the high scores

$result_topscore2 $DB_site->query("
        SELECT gamesessions.*, user.username, user.userid, games.*, games.title AS title FROM "
TABLE_PREFIX "gamesessions AS gamesessions
        LEFT JOIN "
TABLE_PREFIX "user AS user ON user.userid = gamesessions.userid
        LEFT JOIN "
TABLE_PREFIX "games AS games ON gamesessions.gamename = games.shortname

$whereclause AND $sessionclause ORDER BY gamesessions.gamename DESC
    "
);

This query needs to be modified to search for the high score AND the lowest final session time (final). I lack the SQL skill to get this done, can anyone help out here?

Thank you!

pgowder 08-30-2005 12:49 AM

I've started over from scratch. Now you can play the games, but it won't submit scores. None of the games work. They just hang there at the end.

I've seen several people post about this, but no solutions.

Help!!!

I feel your pain and have the same issue, I have reluctantly given up hope of a solution :(

So now I just need to go in and set it up for if's in the arcade.

Turbo_WRX 08-30-2005 06:12 AM

I have a problem. Somehow unknown to me, I get this sql database error In
forum/arcade/functions/dbclass.php
can someone send me a clean and new dbclass.php file for me to fix this? Would you like me to post the error i'm getting. Please help, I run a large website with many people that use the arcade, so time is important. I know it's not much, but $10 paypal if someone sends me the file, and it fixes the problem.

Turbo_WRX 08-30-2005 06:14 AM

Here is the error, has something to do with avatars or something?
Quote:

Hi do you have a copy of the re-edited files. I get the following error

Installing the Arcade on 3.08 working through the hacks is fine. but when I get to the Template Modification, I then get the following error:

"Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /usr/local/apache/share/legacy/c/o/conlons/httpdocs/www.conlons.co.uk/forum/includes/init.php on line 544"
I then cannot see the Forum at all. It did work on the previous version of VBulletin. Can someone please help

Forumi Shqiptar 08-30-2005 04:12 PM

hi all i had this arcade installed on my vb 3.0.8 and i wanted to know if this will work on vb 3.5.0 RC2 since i updated yesterday many thanks for ur replies great hack by the way

Biker_GA 08-30-2005 04:12 PM

No, it will not work. John is actively working a port to 3.5 and will be released when 3.5 goes gold.

nymyth 08-30-2005 04:49 PM

^^not yet, there is a new build coming out for 3.5

Peace

Vindicare 08-30-2005 05:19 PM

Unfortunately it won't work with vB3.5

A 3.5 version will be rekeased once 3.5 goes gold (which may take a while)

alyster4k 08-30-2005 08:04 PM

I don't think I'm searching for the right phrase so I'm posting here.

In my old phpBB install, we had people who had Arcade trophies and that # of trophies was posted under their name in the left side block in each of their posts. For example, on here the block has the Name, Member, Join Date, Posts, and (theorectically) then it would say Trophies or something similar and the # of games they have top scores on. Does this hack exist? Thanks!

OllieRocks 08-30-2005 08:14 PM

Right, I have a problem with my Arcade.

Some people dont have permissions to submit their score, as they see the
'No Permissions To View This Place'

But, other people can.....

I have made sure the arcade is open to everyone.

Forumi Shqiptar 08-30-2005 08:46 PM

:( thanks anyway great hack anyway one of the bests since now with what ive seen hope u enjoying it :(

Thanks Again and clicked install :)

thephonemall 08-31-2005 04:11 PM

Anyone know why I am receiving this automatic error message in my email daily:

Database error in vBulletin 3.0.8:

Invalid SQL: UPDATE games SET highscorerid=,highscore=500 WHERE
shortname='ninjakid'
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near

mysql error number: 1064

Jenkins 09-01-2005 05:18 AM

this looks awesome, but I'm having a little trouble. I got as far as editing all the PHP files, but I'm not sure where to make the "Template" changes, the part in the instruction where it talks about "postbit" and such. I tried going into my admincp but i get this error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: construct_nav_option() in c:\x\x\admincp\index.php on line 454

can somone please help. I'm very new to vbulletin I just got my first bulletin working about 2 days ago.

Thanks,

High Five guy!!

Mer 09-02-2005 12:23 AM

Hi. First off, I must say that this is a great hack. Thanks for the great work John.

I've been looking through the discussions and haven't been able to find a way of setting permissions for the games by rank or title instead of usergroup. This would encourage users to be more active on the board in order to gain access to more games. Does anyone have a mod for this? I would love to set this up before the board gets populated too much.

Thanks.

Mer

I just tried to fix my arcade high scores and I pulled up an error...help!

Invalid SQL: SELECT gamename, MAX(score) AS score

GROUP BY gamename
mysql error: Table 'dbeel_forum.gamesessions' doesn't exist

thenetbox 09-02-2005 07:07 PM

Is there a possibility for the arcade 3.5 to be released as an RC before vB goes gold? :)
